Fear the Walking Dead: You're Still Here (2019)
Each Time I Think This Show Can't Get Worse...
...It does.
A the characters plod along as aimlessly as the ZOMBIES acting and reacting in ways that have long since ceased to make any sense.
Alicia at one point actually says "I don't want to kill the dead."
Seriously?
Morgan and his stick confront and them get the jump on this season's bad guy Logan and five or six of his gun toting crew who then proceed to just let him walk away.
Really?
Victor shoots a ZOMBIE in the stomach with tear gas and then decides to wrassle with it until he loses his eyesight.
What?
Lennie James continues to hold the show together with his undeniably strong acting chops.
Aside from that the show is now simply a hate watch.
Euphoria (2019)
Just Say No.
It's exploitation pure and simple.
An X rated Degrassi Jr. High.
That's no mistake as Aubrey Graham aka Drake, who starred in the Degrassi Jr. High television series, produced this stereotype-laden, cringe-fest.
That being said, there is some excellent camera work and art direction combined with a good soundtrack. Unfortunately, the actor's performances are middling, and the script is weak canceling out any of the positives of the show.
Then there are the rebellious characters that inhabit the show who, as of the first episode, seemingly have nothing to rebel against but for the mere fact they were born... Literally, it's the opening scene.
As far as suspension of disbelief can I ask where these kids are supposed to be getting all the money for their drugs and liquor?
Rosebud (1975)
Boring and meandering!
The film was so convoluted I found myself sitting trancelike in disbelief. I kept watching it to see if it would get any better....But it didn't. It looked like Peter O'toole (whom I love) sleepwalked through this one. Boring and meandering!
