Star studded cast not used to potential
7 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I usually don't go into movies having watched the trailer. So just based on the synopsis alone, I thought this would be an intricate murder mystery.

Considering the cast and David O Russell, I hoped it would be a stellar addition to this saturated genre.

However, the plot was mediocre at best. Lots of backstories shown at the wrong time and sometimes lasting 20 minutes even forgetting where we actually were in the present.

The pacing wasn't slow but it still felt like a long movie.

And in the end, the whole movie hanged on one word "Fascism". Yes the deadly political movement that is yet again very popular in movies nowadays.

So basically a Murder Mystery that ends up with Fascism. Talk about rinse and repeat.

Also, did anyone else notice that Anya-Taylor Joy played the exact character in Peaky Blinders to a tee.

Overall, I'll probably forget this movie in a month or 2.

A run-of-the-mill $200 million action movie
15 July 2022
I think I've come to terms that outside Marvel the Russo brothers are average directors.

We are treated to an above average action thriller with questionable cinematography. Gosling and Evans were good in their roles which was nice to see. Pacing was decent.

The plot and action sequences were very typical and nothing to write about.

Overall, I think Netflix are digging their own grave by splashing so much cash into this movie that I'll probably forget in a week.

Awesome episode with some plot holes
6 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So first of all, I want to say that this show is slowly creeping up my favorite shows ever. Extremely well-written, acted, and directed.

However, with this episode, I wanted to ask a few questions:

1.) I will reiterate the points of other reviewers how there is literally little to no security for such a high profile event as well as rich individuals such as themselves.

2.) HOW did Ben figure everything out? From Ruth's dad being murdered by Wendy to their business partner in Chicago. He said he figured everything out. How?? In the space of a few hours he knew everything from A to Z. This guy should be the head of the FBI with his skills. This completely threw me off the rest of the episode. It just felt like the writers wanted to speed things up to get to the climax.

Amazing writing till this point. Still extremely intrigued to what is to come.

A masterpiece
3 June 2019
Looking back on it Ozymandias is a technical masterpiece. Beautifully crafted by Vince Gilligan and co. Masterfully acted.

Hands down the best episode to grace television in history.
