Grimm (2011)
Second generation
The way the series ended left it wide open for a second generation Grimm to continue the legacy... Where is it? That could be really cool.
Badlands, Texas (2015)
Cowboy commentary
I watch this a few years ago and was riveted. Could've been done in a four part series but my favorite was the cowboy commentary. That guy was great. Love to see more of him. I would love to find the clip but I paraphrase-"People often confuse freedom with comfort..." If anyone can quote that accurately, I'd appreciate it. Got admit I had a little crush on Rhonda.
Sons of Liberty (2015)
Lighten up, historians!
Without compromising the undisputed facts many of us know, certain creative license has been taken and modern dramatization has occurred. Sure, as an avid historian, I was disappointed in the anachronistic language and some factual distortions (particularly the tea party scene). But, how else would you get society in this day and age to sit through a 6 hour history lesson. If you want strict historical accuracy, watch a doc or better still, read a text book (preferably non-revisionist). Perhaps it will inspire the "Twilight"/"Hunger Games" generation to explore the events that led to the greatest "noble experiment." The parallels to today are numerous and the facts are far more compelling. I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend it. Judging by some of the other reviews, the worst you could say, it's not for historical purists.
