If you lived it, you love it. If not, you try to appreciate and judge if not willing. This captures the magic of a time and a city, and mostly the magic that Nirvana brought forth.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm old, but I watched this film in high school. First off, cudos for doing a wrestling film. Second, the soundtrack is better than you think with Madonna and Journey songs that stand alone. It's a good watch, and will get you motivated for whatever you do and believe in.

Warning: Spoilers
Intense, beautiful episode. Chaos is magic (even if not seen in real time). Starts with a classic old school radio intro (not familiar with WXRT but I did radio in college so I get part of it) of Sufjan Stevens "Chicago", wonderful song with montage of a aesthetic city (I've been twice and remember the feelings of things like walking under the "El". The fact that from their they play Wilco's "Spiders (Kidsmoke)" under the intensifying drama just gets better and better. Everyone is at their worst, and yet at their best (but no one else can see it). It's rare that a show can use music and drama to "El"evate both elements, rarer still that they are essentially a love letter to a city and culture. This episode was art in its best sense.

A Tribe Called Quest

The band ("Can I Kick It") is A Tribe Called Quest. They also did the song "Excursions" from a few episodes ago when Frank broke out spitting rhymes in his apartment (at the dinner table). Check out De La Soul as well.

Awesome!

This was an abstract. Very well written. A nice side step from the show. Thanks for giving the shadow man some light. As always, the set up is not always seen by the viewer. Like a great magician in their craft.

Watch it, then judge.

This movie does what a movie should, it entertains. Was it good in it's time? Yes, check. Has it aged well? Yes, check. Does it make you feel something different for watching it? Yes, check. Is it the best of its generation? No, hence not a ten. It's a comedic story of West Coast college prodigies that foretells Google culture and warns of the dangers of military and big money. Martha Coolidge was ahead of her time and a vastly underrated director.

Let's talk Lasso

Warning: Spoilers
The triumphant return is, well, like the Richmond team. It's all, for now, a bit recessed and second rate. The jokes are there but try too hard (cue soccer scenes). The team has 8 ties in a row (that's going to end) and Ted doesn't have all the answers. Everybody is trying to establish new narratives (it's a show, not real life) and they're fascinating but clunky. It all culminates with the psychologist righting the ship (we all think Ted needs some post-break-up counseling, right?). Firm footing is the end game, let's enjoy the ride.
