Fabbricante di lacrime (2024)
Sensual and romantic
Sure, it was predictable. And the characters not very well developed. They could have dived in more, give the story more depth.
But I loved the romantic feel of the movie, there was enough chemistry between the two main actors and it was beautifully filmed. I don't really understand people saying it is all wrong... he had a childhood crush on her all along. They were not born into the same family. She arrived at te orphanage at the age of 8 years old. Then he kept his distance and acted like he didn't like her, and some psychological abuse went on there, so they did not really grew up normally, and they were also not related.
For the situation with the adoptive parents it would have been a bit complicated but I just see two young people attracted to each other and having the possibility now to explore that.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
Despite all the moaning here, it's a great show!
I love it. People are complaining, but it's just slowly developing in a greater story, taking it's time to introduce everybody and every storyline. Give it some time. It's not yet finished. It's beautifully done. Very scenic. I love how it unfolds. Still 6 more episodes to go, so i am very curious. People are probably also complaining because it's a bit slow. But it's a series and I love being taken into this world again and seeing things come together. All the negativity here, don't be so impatient!
I have to write more: okay: the characters are slowly revealed, the scenery is beautiful, the man from the sky is a riddle, is he good or evil, or is he the great sorcerer? The bonding between elves and dwarves, the bonding between elves and men... it's just all a great prequel to the movies, understanding how things came to be.
Kleo (2022)
Funny satire
Really liked it, it's fast and funny and filmed in an interesting way. It's over the top, but gives a good view on the differences between East and West Germany before the fall of the 'Mauer'.. and the upcoming techno era is embedded in a real funny way. Totally absurdistic but gives a cool impression of the underground clubbing in the 80s. Also the clothing and styling is really good. And also the disillusion of the people who really believed in the regime and socialistic believes.... it just an absurdistuc and humoristic way to picture 'Die Wende'. So, please stop saying ohhh all this people who are killed without remorse... come on, it's satire.
