Muppet Babies: The Muppet Babies Show (2022)
No More Gonzo in a Dress!
While this episode is a nice homage to The Muppet Show, there's a very modern change. I get the Muppets have always been about inclusion, and being a family of misfits and unique characters. But to even say Gonzo is about to do a stunt, then have him do a fashion show instead isn't Gonzo. Almost everyone else felt like a younger version of the character in The Muppet Show, the movies, or other works . But not Gonzo. For the last episode, Gonzo isn't the Gonzo of the Muppet Show, even though this episode tries to recreate it. At least hopefully, this is the last we see of this Gonzo that would rather have him be different, than be himself.
The Simpsons in Plusaversary (2021)
Underwhelming
Well there's certainly a little entertainment here, but overall it was pretty dull. This feels more like an Unauthorized parody from before Disney owned The Simpsons, and not a real crossover like it should've been. Very few characters speak and most of the ones that do sound sound off. Having Bill Farmer voice Goofy would have at least made it a little more authentic. Overall this just the Simpsons in a bad spoof of House of Mouse, which would have been a much better addition to Disney+ than this.
Animaniacs (2020)
Filled with bad anti-Trump jokes, but at least pinky and the brain is still great
While the original Animaniacs is not as great as some people think it is, it's still a solid show that's still entertaining almost 30 years later. This version however has a few funny moments, but is overshadowed by lame repetitive jokes attacking Trump, Fox News, and occasionally Russia. Nothing that hasn't already been done before, but now it's by characters who were much funnier and politically neutral in the 90s. On the bright side Pinky and the Brain are almost as good as they were in the 90s. I am six episodes in and I think I'll just skip everything except Pinky and the Brain. Hopefully they will get a spinoff again.
