What an absolute let down! Avoid
9 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Well the most annoying thing about this movie is that it is 140 minutes of my life I will never get back! SLow start, then a tanker edging closer to the shore, oh, something not quite right here. OK, the action has begun, wrong, we are back to slow dialogue, music over dialogue (not a good idea), two people turning up on the door step claiming to be the owners of this rental house. Not convinced due to the stroppy attitude of the "daughter", is she really, "dad" can't seem to locate the right key from the many keys he has in order to open the drinks cabinet. Big names do not a great movie make and this is proof of that. The ending is equally stupid as we are led to believe that the youngest child finds the nuclear safety bunker, but she does close the door behind her, no, so she will die too. Absolute tripe!

What is going on?
15 October 2023
Lupin, a man of many talents and disguises. The first two seasons worked well and made sense, but oh dear, what has happened? This third season jumps around in different decades and brings in too many characters to keep up with. The character Keller, appears to have aged backwards and looks younger than the man from over 25 years previous, not to mention having a completely different face! It got to the stage that there were so many characters that it became very confusing as to who was who and whose side they were on. This season is not in the same league as the previous two and it is an absolute disappointment. Totally unbelievable.

What in earth!
18 September 2023
Well, words fail me. I was looking forward to a good martial art movie with a good storyline. What I got was a 1970's chop socky kung fuey waste of time. Storyline, slim, acting a bit wooden, fight scenes too frenetic and totally unbelievable. Nd then the ending! Left high and dry and wondering what on earth I had just witnessed. Perhaps not having any previous experience of GI Joe was a minus point but if you have to know a lot in oreder to enjoy this then its a waste of time. Many other films manage to flow but this just fell flat. I certainly cannot recommend this film and I would suggest that if you are thinking about wayching it, forget it.

Complete bunkum
1 January 2023
Too many things is this piece of amateur soap opera don't add up.

The English characters appear to have resided in Australia from some years and yet they have still retained their "English" voice, not a glimmer of the Aussie tones in any of them. The main characters have only just purchased the house and yet their wedding appeared to have taken place in the grounds of this newly purchased home as seen in one of the wedding photos. The acting is atrocious, the storyline is weak as are the characters. The premise that these two married after the new wife became the old surfer dudes masseuse is laughable. Go and watch something else.

Worse than awful!
1 January 2023
I am sure I cannot fully convey how awful this movie is!

Almost 20% of this diatribe is footage from a previous Bond. This is supposed to give us the setting for where we are now, it simply wastes time and makes you believe you are suffering Groundhog Day. The story is as comprehensible as quantum physics is to a week old baby. Rami Malek is as villainous as a care bear and even some of the car/fight/action scenes are totally boring. This is not a Bond film as we know it, indeed the movies have been going downhill for sometime and this movie has hit the bottom with a resounding clunk. One would have more fun playing Trivial Pursuit by oneself.

Wowser!
18 November 2022
After trying the first episode, I was dubious as to whether this was going to be worth watching but I persevered and was I glad I did! How the heroine ended up being the Warrior Nun takes you on a journey meeting many characters and hearing their stories and how they arrived there. Your opinion or dislike of some characters changes as each episode unfolds and those you thought you could trust turn out to be the baddies and some you thought were baddies to out to be the good guys. The nuns fight scenes are super and Shotgun Mary reminds you of Mazakeen, another motorcycle riding, leather clad, weapon wielding, kick ass fighter that was a pivotal character in Lucifer. Stick with the slow start, it's well worth it!

Its lost it's way.
10 November 2022
Worried that Imelda Staunton, although a good actress, would not be able to carry off the queen, sadly I wasn't wrong. Elizabeth Dibecki is too tall and too scrawny to be princess Diana and her facial expressions are quite aggravating. Princess Anne's hair looks like she has had her head in a bucket of tar and the queen mother too tall and appears totally gaga. The wig on John Major looks as though its a nest for some wild birds. What was once a great series appears to have lost it's way. The only thing is that one can hope that people will realise that the events are true but the intimate dialogue is pure fiction.

Disaster!
30 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is a true disaster movie. All 2 hours and 38 minutes! I really don't think that any of the "stars" are big enough to carry this film, unless its to the trash can. Some of the scenes are totally unbelievable, in fact, most of the scenes depicting falling buildings, roads cracking open, cars avoiding being hit(but only the main character of course) are unbelievable. The ending is even more ridiculous as the "hero" manages to do the impossible and free the cogs and manages to escape being crushed, even though it was supposed to be a one way ticket! Its a total waste of time, watch something else.

Warning: Spoilers
For some reason I was putting off starting to watch the new season. I appears I wasnt wrong with my concerns. I really was lost as to who was who, what was what and what on earth was going on. I don't know what I've missed but why has eleven lost her powers? I'm on episode 3 and I'm still bored and mystified.

What has happened?
21 May 2022
I have waited to watch this series having loved the previous titles. Why did I bother? What on earth is going on, what is the storyline, why am I wasting my time watching this drivel? Don't expect anything like the previous series, this is a mish mash of scenes that have no connection whatsoever. Go and watch some paint dry!

Cobra Kai season 4 has lost its way!
2 January 2022
What a let down! After binge watching the previous 3 seasons I was straight onto season 4 as soon as it was aired on Netflix. Bringing Silver back into the mix has not enhanced it one bit. The dialogue that is scripted to match Johnny's stupidity is not funny and plain crass. There is way too much posturing and dialogue that adds nothing to the story and merely drags out an already boring storyline. The actual karate has also become even sloppier. The kicks are weak with too many bent legs, the punches are slaps and the stances leave a lot to be desired. Overall a big disappointment.

What a waste of talent!
27 December 2021
Comedy satire? What is this rubbish all about? There is no comedy and the great cast obviously needed the paycheck as their integrity as actors has been sent into orbit at this insult to the viewers intelligence. Why does Meryl Streep look barely unrecognisable, why is most of the dialogue totally incomprehensible, why do the scriptwriters think their attempts at humour are as funny haemorrhoids? What could have been a great disaster movie has been totally wasted and this is 160 minutes of my life I will not get back!

Too slow
12 December 2021
Interesting idea, but being kept in the dark about who controls everything is slightly annoying. Will plays the brooding, boring, gung ho hero type while his wife, somehow, manages to work for the resistance right under her husbands nose. Dialogue drags, the characters are boring, the double agents on both sides manage to hoodwink their masters and spouses which only appears to make those who are supposed to be in charge and therefore the superior power, absolutely stupid.

Too Long!
30 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Far too long and drawn out. The leads have as much charm as a loaf of mouldy bread and no one in their right mind would even remotely think of having an affair with Christopher Eccelston. The story jumps around like a frog trapped in a plastic bag and you cannot connect with any of these disjointed people.

Utter rubbish!
30 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Boring, drawn out, unlikeable characters, bizarre courtroom exchanges, there is nothing positive to say about this waste of time.

Obnoxious alleged murderers, weak personal bodyguard, who is telling the truth? Those in the dock, the police, the families, can you believe anything you are watching? And just because one of the accused was abussed as child this excuses her attitude and therefore nullifies her guilt?

Give it a miss and go and knit a scarf, that will be far more useful.

Can have a feelgood factor but!
19 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Only just started the first season but have binge fested and am now half way through season two. To me, it has elements of the Gilmore Girls with a little bit more aggravation, but, there are some characters who you simply want to die! Charmaine is so dense that she cannot see that Jack simply sees her as a friend with benefits, not his girlfriend. To this end she makes it her mission to tell everyone she meets, even though they are not in the least bit interested, that she is Jack's girlfriend. Take a look at his face Charmaine, he ain't interested and he certainly isn't in love with you! Hope is also another stupid character that you want to be kicking up daisy's, boy is she another irritating , nosey, gobby horrible individual. There are many back stories to the characters, perhaps too many at times, but it is somewhat addictive and I shall continue watching, really in the hope that some of the characters stop breathing oxygen!

What a waste of celluloid!
4 July 2021
I am struggling to find anything remotely positive or interesting about this film.

Its cheap, its nasty, its hard to understand half of the dialogue and obviously, by now, its extremely dated. The characters are plain stupid, as is the storyline.

Do not waste your time on this absolute drivel.

Was expecting something better
11 April 2021
Perhaps I was expecting a lot of action and a great story, well I didn't get either. The acting was pretty dire, the fight scenes were slow and too choreographed and real action was non existent. In fact if this Iron Fist dude is so well trained how come it takes so long to despatch the bad guys?

On another note, one thing that really bugs me is why it it when a character takes some tablet or other, the minute they swallow it, it has instant effect? Ward is always pill popping and looks spaced as soon as the pill hits his lips, crazy!

Watch if you are a fan of his genre, otherwise give it a miss.

I was expecting funny!
11 April 2021
If you are after a good comedy film then you had better look elsewhere. This is not funny, there is practically no story and the characters are stiff(as is the acting).

Don't expect to be rolling around the lounge laughing watching this, you are more likely to fall asleep. I can't anymore, that's how bad it is!

Dreadful!
11 April 2021
If I could give this a minus star I would! I cannot add much more than all the other reviews. This has to be the biggest load of third rate acting that has ever been filmed. There is not one "star" amongst them, the acting is strangely comedic for such a serious subject, the plot is ludicrous and the characters have less life and charisma than a waxworks dummy.

Avoid at all costs.

Keeping Faith: Episode #3.1 (2021)
Season 3, Episode 1
7/10
Stick with it, but not as good as the previous series
5 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
If you have followed Faith in the previous series, you will be wanting to know where this final one is going. You hope that she will find happiness and everything in the garden will be rosy. Well, you are going to be disappointed.

The first episode makes you wonder what has happened since the last series as this is a very slow burner and extremely frustrating for the viewer. So much so that you almost want to switch off. The case that Faith has taken on, the boy with the brain tumour appears, frankly, a mere excuse of a storyline so that Faith has a reason to go to London. This little excursion simply allows Faith to bring her history into the storyline. This also drops a clanger when her husband questions her business partner about her whereabouts in London and then gives chapter and verse as to where she was and at what times. There is no question as to how Ewan knew this, he had activated the tracking on her phone and knew her every move, so this little annoyance was never discovered.

At last Steve and Faith get together and we are hoping this is going to be Faith's happy ever after. The best thing is that her rotten, stalking scummy little ex gets killed, but by then, the viewer is already believing that Steve is also dead. Sadly for us and Faith, this turns out to be true. No happy ending, Faith leaves but she will always have a piece of Steve as she is pregnant. Great acting by Eve Myles, makes this your better than average drama, certainly the first two series anyway.

Too many episodes
5 March 2021
Too long by far. Too many subtitles do they really have to speak so many languages? Even in this day and age there are people who cannot read and write so how are they supposed to know what is going on? The Serpent has as much charisma as a squashed slug and he is quite irritating. The portrayal has to be way off as this guy couldn't possibly have committed these crimes with this portrayal. Too many minutes of my life I shall never get back.

Don't expect great intellect
12 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It was pretty soon into the first episode that it was obvious that Mr Wilford was not on the train and voice recordings were being manipulated and spliced together to indicate he was actually speaking. There is plenty of gore and violence, but you cannot really engage with the characters or even feel any empathy for them. This train has been traveling around the world for years with various groups sectioned off along the trains great carriage length, smashing through a frozen wasteland. All sense of understanding has to be suspended to believe the tracks are still intact and that supplies are endless. New clothes have appeared by magic, laundering of same suspends all belief, and some of the methods used on the train are plain daft. Understanding some of what is going on proves difficult at times. Try watching it by all means but you may get bored pretty soon and either switch off or do a crossword instead.

Sutton Noo!
7 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Based on a true story but casting, apparently, does not reflect the real people involved well. Poetic licence takes over but this story is overlong, boring and the cast cannot rescue it. What should have been a great watch ended up anything but and by the end I could not care less about the characters, the great find or what happened to the treasure, the land or the people. Recent reports appear to indicate that the characters bear little, if any resemblance to the actual people involved. I cannot see anyone being interested in this as all we seem to see is rain and mud and a bit of treasure and even an inferred gay liaison. This is 2 hours of my life I cannot get back.

The Drowning (2021)

Can I not give it zero stars?
5 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Total rubbish, weak character that you have zero interest in and unbelievable situations. Quick synopsis, kid drowns, no body, mother tries to get on with her life. One day she sees a kid who looks like the grown up version of deceased son. Gets a job as a teacher at his school with dodgy false documents, (not to mention just strolling into said school-no way). Manages to convince kid he is hers, gets caught trying to flee the country, in jail, solicitor brother gets her out by getting the lab to fix DNA so she appears to be the real mother whilst his father is now in trouble. She has done a DNA and results come back which prove that she is not the mother. Solicitor brother is now in deep so decides he is going to kill the boy as he knows more about the day than he has let on. In the final 15 minutes we get the convoluted story of what happened that day, totally farcical, but even worse was the fact that he had gone, unseen, into the water to get the drowning boy, pushed the body further out into the water and then returns to the group as though nothing happened. Nobody seemed to notice he was wet through from the waist down at this point. Don't waste 4 hours of your life watching this garbage.
