Shiddat (2021)
Logic is overrated, Practicality is boring
Seriously , once a while you need a movie like Shiddat which is not at all related to this so called practical world.
What is love without craziness? This movie has it and that's what makes it grand. People who had experienced true love will never undermine this movie. If you have, then this movie is for you.
The Silencing (2020)
Could have ended better
It was going good untill the last twenty minutes. The way the lady cop finds about the killer is too abrupt. Also the motive behind the killings is not at all satisfactory. But its worth a watch, Jamie Lanister being one solid reason
Aarya (2020)
Finally an indian web series that is inspired by hindu mythology
Finally an indian web series that doesn't show the negative sides of hindu mythology but in fact is inspired from it. Loosely based on american series #ozark, Aarya is a compelling watch though it could have been better in some specific areas. There are some charcters which could have been stronger like ACP khan and Aarya's father. Also one can guess the BIG suspence in the second episode itself. But inspite of the loopholes Aarya didnt disappoint mainly because of Sushmita Sen and Sikandar Kher's performance. Mansih Chaudhury as Sekhawat is cool too.
The use of Bhagavad Geeta quotes throughout kicks things in the right direction.
8/10
Aamis (2019)
Disturnbingly delicious
There are movies which follow the popular trend and whose story can be easily predicted and there there are those movies which break the stereotyping and give the audience absolutely a new kind of taste. Amis falls firmly in the second category. With a story that gives a weird definition to love, Aamis will haunt you for many hours after you leave the theater.
The only complain I have is that the ending could have been a bit different . I mean a 'wanting for more' kinda ending would have been a perfect desert (at least for me).
Andhadhun (2018)
Highly recommended
Years ago while watching 'Jhonny Gaddar', the name Sriram Raghaban made a great impact in my mind. That was a mindblowing movie which eventually didn't make a great deal in the box office. His last movie Badlapur did better financialy, but for me, Jhonny was the best among all of his works including Ek Hasina Thi.
So years later when the trailer of Andhadhun surfaced I saw the same sparkle of Jhonny in it and I was right. What a rolar coaster ride of witty twists is Andhadhun. and choosing Ayushman for the lead role is the perfect choice the director made.I don't think any other actor could have pulled it so believably like him. Highly recommend it and if you like then kindly watch Johnny Gaddar too. You will love the later.
