DYNASTY THE REUNION DID NOT CONTINUE WITH CLIFFHANGER ENDING
13 November 2003
I Loved Dynasty, and was very upset when it was canceled. I also felt that the reunion movie did not give the viewers what they expected. It seemed to start with a whole new story, if not for the actors from the show one would have thought they were viewing a new miniseries. The producers of Dynasty were always cutting edge and true to form they tried to give the viewers a story in which would enlighten them as well as make them want more. The problem, with this is they first needed to end the cliffhanger. Then followup with the corporate take overs and espionage. Sad to say most viewers were not ready for the information Dynasty was giving in its story lines, they were still in the mind set of a prime time soap and did not want or refused to accept that Dynasty not only gave entertainment, but along with this the producers gave insight in to future events. EX. corporate take overs by moles, the elimination of small business and the merger to 1 large world wide corporation. The acceptance of the gay life style using Blake Carrington as an example, who fought theis way of life now accepting it as a part of everyones right to live their life as they choose. Any one can understand that Aaron Spelling as well as the other producers were hoping to get asked for additional eposides, but with the poor ratings there was no chance, the one thing they failed to do was continue I am sure people would have asked for more, but with so little time for such a vast a story line people lost interest, especially since vewers were just looking for answers and loose ends to be tied up. Hopefully Mr Spelling or some new producers will creat a new Dynasty and it will be as entertaining and as informative as Dynasty.

Dynasty (1981–1989)
Dynasty Loved it Dynamic
13 November 2003
I loved Dynasty. It was and still is my all time favorite show. Given that it aired once a week for an hour, I found this show both entertaining and informative, the story lines may have seemed far fetched but, only due to the time given to tell them. For the time the show aired people found it unbelieveable, but if Dynasty aired today I am sure it would not seem as far fetched. If these same producers came out with another show I am sure it would be just as ground breaking in its story lines as Dynasty was. This show brought out a whole new fashion trend, a more acceptable view of the gay life style a look in to the future of corporate take overs, the awareness of casual relationships, the increasing lack of committment and faithful in marriages, the total disregard of others rights to own businesses due to greed and the need to have more. Dynasty gave more than just campy soap it also told of what to expect in the future as a result of current actions. Great work Mr. Spelling, any time one gives a view of future events he will be condemed. And since Dynasty addressed so many tabu issues the powers that be were afraid to allow it to continue. Hopefully Mr Spelling or some other producer will be bold enough to give the public a view of the future through entertaining drama. BRAVO
