Dr. Kildare (1961–1966)
Dr. Kildare shows
11 November 2005
I never missed this show in the 5 years it was on. To me, it was the very best and used to tune out everything else on Thursday nights at 8:30. There was a lot of caring characters and many famous actors & actresses had guest shots every week. I wish they would release this on DVD. I would buy the entire series in a heartbeat! I would lobby MGM, NBC or whatever is necessary to get this accomplished. I have heard that a company in Canada is holding the rights, but do not know that name. If anyone else is interested or has more knowledge, lets try and get this done & released. Richard Chamberlain is a wonderful actor and people of all ages deserve to find out just how great he was when he first started acting. Nancy

Beauty Shop (2005)
10/10
A very funny and heart-warming movie.

Great movie & full of laughs! Kevin Bacon MADE the movie & shows how versatile he is. Queen Lafitah was perfect as Gina, the main character. Supporting cast members were a riot! You can tell how much fun they had on the set & filming it! I think that each time you see it, you will pick up something new that was said & make you laugh harder. The photography was well done to show the city both during the day & at nighttime. The Movie Web Site that you could preview before the movie premiered was great and fun to check out. Soundtrack was powerful & await for its release. The title of the movie lets you know this movie will be made up of a majority of women, but, just like in real Beauty Shops, there is a man included. Even if you didn't watch the two "Barbershop" movies the came before this one, you can follow along the story lines and know exactly what is happening. Recommend seeing at least once & buying when DVD comes out. To sum this up, this is a good movie to watch with some romancing, developing relationships, and to believe in yourself. You can forget your troubles for an hour and a half and indulge in laughter, the best medicine. A good comedy movie will do just that.
