Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024)
Slow with a dash of toxic feminism
There are shows that are rewatchable and then there's this slow nonsense that I'll forget about by next weekend.
This was so slow with sorta hard hits at the end of the episodes. They finally got it right in the fifth episode where they do the therapy scene and cut into the mission. This is what they should have done the whole time. Jane was your a-typical feminist that can do anything better that you. In a small unrealistic package. They even had a scene where Parker Posey (another Jane) beats Donald Glovers character in arm wrestling..... it's just unrealistic and not believable at all. Back to Jane who is constantly degrading every form of masculinity that John (Donald) has. He can't do anything right. She even makes fun of him for loving his mom to much. While she's just a sad nobody herself. The show keeps trying to make "I can do anything better than you" moments the point of the show.
Spoiler alert!!
Killing off the Brad and Angelina characters in the beginning was just unnecessary. It was like we are killing this story to feed you our nonsense.
Kaleidoscope (2023)
I expected more from Giancarlo Esposito
Giancarlo Esposito usually kills it. But man was this a bust. Just not his role. Maybe it was the horrible writing or it was just a swing and a miss for him. While the best part of this show was the way they filmed it. One part I could not get past...was the god awful make job they did on Giancarlo's face to make him look "younger". There's plenty more reasons, but it's pointless.
Making it watchable in any order still failed to actually make it watchable.
I'm only adding this part because apparently my review is too short and they either need me to complain more or change my mind.... Oh good I'm done.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
Grundelwald was a bore
Ok, so i typically like Mads Mikkelsen. However, he was not a good Grindelwald at all. He lacked EVERYTHING Johnny Depp brought to the roll. He had ZERO CHARACTER.
Also they explain nothing. He literally just replaces Depp. In doing this...the character had zero style, no pale skin, no white hair and his different color eye was barely noticeable. It was like they took a 1920's Peaky Blinders character and told him, "hey unm you're this guy now." Very disappointing. It was a bit slow and the ending was like they half way tried to make it good and in the other half they just let stuff happen. Like literally things simply just ....happen. I don't know how else to say.
Wolf Like Me (2022)
To many people took this way to serious lol
If you can enjoy shows for being a little creative and taking a very different route on a old genre. Then you may like this. If your looking for action. Don't watch this. It's not for that crowd. It's a just a interesting way to tell a story that had drama, tragedy and just flat out stupid gore. It will make you laugh and care that someone found someone that understands them and their situation.
Invasion (2021)
Only the simple minded would rate this any lower
With only 4 episodes out they have managed to tell many stories from the perspective of different people on earth with their own problems, as an alien invasion or accidental invasion(we don't know yet) happens around them. Again if anyone rated this any lower than a 7 or and 8 probably couldn't follow blues clues.
Foundation (2021)
Gray toned visuals and a sloth of a story line
Visually meh
Confusing story line
Cool ships
Wasted acting abilities
Simply a slow mess.
Please stop trying to make a loooong story
Because you are not captivating anyone
Needs more color and less seriousness. There's absolutely no joy in this show at all. I haven't laughed once. I mean even horror movies have laughter.
The Guilty (2021)
Not because of Jake
Jake is literally the only reason I gave this movie above a four-star. His acting was on point but everything else on the other side of the phone was very confusing and hard to follow. However he still acted out his part to the T. Will I ever watch this with you again? Nope. Do I recommend this movie? Not unless you were a Jake Gyllenhaal fan I just want to see him act. It's basically a one man show. That is all.
The Courier (2019)
Unfinished puzzle
This movie seems like an unfinished puzzle with pieces shoved in the places they do not go. Interesting to see the kid from chronicles of Narnia in some thing. But he was by far the worst actor in this whole movie. Age is a good actress however she is a better secondary or background character. Gary Oldman clearly accepted this role simply for a paycheck. "Live to fight another day" what is the worst tagline ever.
Max Reload and the Nether Blasters (2020)
Where did the time go...
No really where did the time go I wasted in the worse than a Wrinkle In Time film. I'd like to have it back.
Save Yourselves! (2020)
Cliffhanger
Interesting and dumb at the same time. The ending leaves you hanging. With no explanation to what happens to everyone or the main characters.
People of Earth (2016)
GIVE US AN ENDING
I hate it when networks just cancel the show that is obviously very good and very original. Without giving us any kind of ending. They could've easily summed up the show in one more season or even a half a season. Heck I'm down for a movie!
Soul (2020)
This movie had no Soul....
It was a depressing mess. Nothing to live for but Jazz? Really? Every character was forgettable. It was definitely not a kids movie. Plus mocking heaven with a laugh and basically sayin his life was worthless and he had nothing to give back so follow Terry or Jerry or the squiggly line angry thing into the nothingness.
The Last Ship (2014)
Watch this show
Seriously watch this show! Stop what you are doing and watch it. What are you doing still reading this? Go now! DO IT!
