Dune: Part Two (2024)
What an absolute load of tripe.
Barely Audible dialogue, mumbling actors.
Scenes that just ended with no explanation (go into the desert and survive, Paul, here's a tent ... oh, but zendaya can show you the way ... oh, we are all in a tent laughing now)
Utter dog turd.
What actually happened in it, too?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Why do they mine Spice?
Who are the women with the tall hats?
So many strands left unanswered.
I wasted three hours on Dune 1, which made me think I needed to watch this. Don't bother. You'd be better off without it.
Fight scenes are overly long and boring.
Enemies arrive unannounced from nowhere.
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)
Utter Tosh
2 1/2 hours and nothing happens. At all.
What a load of nonsense.
Avoid this movie and eat some Pringles alone in the dark instead, or stick pins into your eyes.
Both are more enjoyable.
A cinematic experience that leaves audiences exhausted for all the wrong reasons. Clocking in at a mind-numbing 2 hours and 43 minutes, this action film takes the phrase "too much of a good thing" to a whole new level.
The plot, if you can call it that, is a convoluted mess of clichés and recycled ideas.
The excessive runtime only serves to exacerbate the film's problems. Scenes drag on, and subplots meander aimlessly, leaving audiences checking their watches and wondering when the credits will roll. By the time the climax finally arrives, it's hard to muster any excitement or interest.
Ali Wong: Don Wong (2022)
Hilarious
Don't know what the reviews are about on here.
I'm a white British male (same age as Ali Wong) and watched this with my wife - found it utterly hilarious.
Very smutty and funny.
Really enjoyed.
No Time to Die (2021)
No Time To Waste
This is 2hrs 43mins of your life you won't get back.
First 43mins are okay, but I was already checking my watch.
After 90 minutes you might want to leave, but feel invested.
At 2hrs, I took the opportunity to sleep.
What an absolutely dull film.
In & of Itself (2020)
Odd One Out
Sorry, but I'm going to have to do an awful review here.
Absolutely unsure why this is rated so highly.
Magic? Little to none.
Suspense? Little to none.
The big reveal at the end? Dull.
How hard is it to memorise the "I AM" card that 200 people picked up? Especially when those people are Bill Gates, David Blaine, Susan Sarandon etc.
Questions of identity? Pfft.
Tenet (2020)
Two and a half hours wasted
Two stars.
One for each hour of my life I won't get back.
The CGI in places is awful; overlooking the harbour, you can see her neck hair has been cut off to put the background in.
The catamaran racing scene is also awful.
Just an absolute waste of time.
Don't bother.
Thunder Road (2018)
First Scene
For a movie with a run time of 86 minutes (without credits and intro) to have 12 minutes of it devoted to *that* first scene is nuts.
Utter tosh.
We turned it off after that scene, as he was clearly a maniac trying to see what the viewer would endure.
Do not believe the other reviews. All lies.
