Beary Tales (2013)
I absolutely loved this movie!!
This is a kind and sweet movie about a man who raised two orphaned bears. It is funny and heart warming how he is their surrogate mom and how they really act like children. I watched it twice in a row I liked it so much!!
Joker (2019)
Loved his performance but not the story line
I loved his performance as the Joker however not a fan of the anti police and anti rich rhetoric surrounding the movie. It felt like Antifa ish - anger at just anyone in general . That's where I tuned out

The Shining (1980)
My favorite horror movie and one of my favorite movies!!
I don't know why but I am obsessed with this movie! It is not only my favorite horror movie but really one of my favorite movies overall. The suspense, story and build up makes it great every time I watch it. The acting, directing is really superb and Kubrick is a genius! It is interesting watching Jack descend into madness
The Dirt (2019)
Best movie ever!! I really didn't expect to love it this MUCH!!!
So my daughter and I watched this movie, and I really didn't expect it to be so entertaining and interesting but it was GREAT! We have watched it 3 times and I want to watch it over and over and over! It is very interesting to see how Motley Crue began, their backgrounds, and their rise to fame. The movie is fast paced and never gets bogged down in details. I love the sex, drugs and rock and roll and it's really so refreshing in this day of political correctness gone awry!
She is 19 and loved it as well, even though she had no clue about Motley Crue, she did know 2 of the actors who portrayed Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx and she enjoyed it as well. The Crue RULES!!!
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)
Why oh Why do producers try to show an empathetic angle to these killers?
So I thought that Zac Ephron did an excellent job as Ted Bundy, and I did like aspects of this film, however I find it disappointing that this producer took a school girl view of Ted Bundy and portrayed him as a handsome man who was getting railroaded into these crimes that he didn't commit. We know he confessed to killing over 30 women in horrific ways, so I find it appalling when producers act as if they are Brad Pit getting wrongly accused of horrific crimes.
I just want a little outrage and sympathy for all the VICTIMS and their families who lost their daughters before their life had begun. He deserved to be roasted on a stick so it is disappointing when every one including the movie producer is awestruck by a serial killer.
Leaving Neverland (2019)
I went into this thinking that he was NOT guilty, but after watching, there is not doubt he is a pedophile
I always thought that these people were coaching their children to say things so that they could get millions of dollars from Michael Jackson. After watching this moving and gut wrenching documentary, there is no doubt Jackson was a pedophile. He preyed on young boys with a cunning and used his star power to influence these boys parents and everyone around him. Each story is hauntingly the same, the grooming of the boys, the parents, the lavish trips, the phone calls all to lure them into trusting him completely. He destroyed so many lives with his pedophilia and he got away with it BECAUSE he was Michael Jackson. Why do people think that stars are not people with flaws as well? They can be talented but still be a monster, which is what Jackson was. What is sickening is that he even molested a young boy which came to Neverland as a Make a Wish cancer patient. That Neverland Ranch was a child magnet to further his sickening grooming and secduction of young boys. If you watch this well made film, you will walk away with no doubt he is guilty and your heart will break for these boys, now men, who he destroyed. People like Bill Cosby and Michael Jackson were allowed to get away with these crimes BECAUSE they are starts and so they can destroy anyone who tries to speak out. This is exactly what Jackson did with his high powered attorneys, who state in the movie, that they will destroy anyone who comes out against Michael.
Dorian Gray (2009)
Read the book and Loved this movie!
I have read this book so many times because I love the intricate told story of the soul, vanity, of a young man and how he becomes corrupt over time. I don't agree with the negative reviews of the movie, of course the movie is never as good as a book, but I thought this movie did capture the book very well. I loved Ben Barnes as Dorian, and thought he was the PERFECT actor to play Dorian Gray. He also showed depth in the role, and gave the character a multi-faceted personality. As a real fan of the book, I loved this movie and thought it was very well done. Hopefully, I did not give away any spoilers! I also thought the other characters were well developed and similar to the book characters! I loved this movie!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
Spoiler Alert!!
My husband, 15 year old daughter and I watched this when my parents came to visit. We all thoroughly disliked this movie. It is very confusing with Jamie Fox playing the villain turned into electrode, and we all felt like he was such a nice guy and loved Spider man, and they didn't really show how he turns into such a hateful villain. Also, the character development of Oscorp founder's son who went to school with Peter Parker and they are great friends but then he turns against Spider Man/Peter Parker without any justification. OK, but the WORST part of the movie (Spoiler Alert!!!) is when Gwen dies during a fight with Electrode and Harry Osborn's son who is now turned into some sort of freak. My daughter went to bed after this and didn't even finish the movie. Also, that was very depressing and why would they do this when Peter Parker has been trying to stay away from her the entire movie to keep her safe and because he feels guilty because of her father's dying wish for him to stay away for safety purposes. We all did not like this movie.
America: Imagine the World Without Her (2014)
Great movie if anyone cares to listen
I am sure liberals will be hating on this movie, but they will always be for total government control of everything and will never see the perils of the loss of freedom in the United States. This puts the greatness of the US into perspective and WHY the US is great and how liberals are seeking to destroy or as Obama says "remake America". Great footage and very well researched. I am 49 years old and my daughter's US history book talks of how "America imperialism" was so detrimental to the world and just how terrible America was. What it DOESN'T say is how we saved WW1 and WW2 and how we defeated Hitler, etc. The left wants children growing up to think that the US is terrible. Of course critics are going to hate this movie, very predictable.
Merlin (2008)
Wow! Watched this from Netflix and our whole family is hooked!
My husband, daughter (11 years old) and I started watching this on Netflix recently and we are HOOKED! The characters are well thought out, plots are entertaining and not one dimensional, and the show is well casted. We love Merlin, and Arthur is excellent as a prince! There is magic, and it reminds us a little of Harry Potter. The filming is very well done as well and the castle, clothing, etc is very authentic looking. This is very well done, and script is excellent. We LOVE this show! Every show has a new theme and new conflict. We enjoy seeing how Merlin will save Arthur. However, although Arthur is a prince, he is very brave and arrogant, but also has a nice side which makes you love him! The king is very well played, and is haughty (just like a king would be back then). Gaius is a great character and acts as a semi-father to Merlin. It is interesting that Merlin can't reveal his powers, due to the King forbidding all magic in the kingdom. This same magic saves his son, time after time.
