24 Hour Alert (1955)
Great flying sequences.
Outstanding aerial shots of 1950's USAF fighter jets. If you like warplanes, this little gem of a movie is an absolute must see.
Great narration by Jack Webb. This film honors those who served in the USAF back in the Cold War 1950's. There are no combat scenes, but there is plenty of aerial action.
At the end, there is extensive high quality footage of a 1950's USAF air show. B-52's, F-100's, B-47's, early C-130's, and F-86's. The highlight was the Pre-Thunderbirds USAF aerial demonstration team called the Sabre Knights.
Never heard of this short movie. But it was great.
Jack Webb did a great job honoring the USAF.
Entebbe (2018)
Decent movie
This is not a war or action movie. The focus is on the people, and the movie is balanced in how it portrays and humanizes the different groups. The actual raid was a very small part of the movie. I agree that the dancing sequences were a distraction, although I think I understand why they were included (to show parallels between the synchronization of commandos vs dancers? Or to show that the one soldier was distracted by thoughts of his wife?). Overall, worth watching and deserving of a higher overall rating.
Tenet (2020)
Loud chaotic mess
Extremely confusing story compounded by terrible sound. The sound editing is the worst I have ever experienced. It's like the microphones were too far away from the actors when they filmed this movie. The dialogue is so inaudible at times that you need subtitles.
Gave a 5 only because of the action sequences.
Dexter: Argentina (2012)
Solid episode
Spectacular performance by Jennifer Carpenter. Wow. Amazing.
Open Range (2003)
Solid Western
Really great scenery. Every western needs to end with a big gunfight, and this movie does not disappoint. The shootout in the end was solid. The main characters were likable... even Annette Benning was good. Movie is a little bit long but still worth it.
Carrie (1976)
Mean Girls vs. Social Outcast with Telekinetic Powers
Not really a horror film and definitely not scary. More about high school mean girls picking on Carrie. Carrie is a social outcast with a Bible thumping, emotionally abusive and over the top mother. Carrie becomes the victim of a school prank which causes her to let her powers loose on everyone. Sissy Spacek was good. Piper Laurie's character was way way over the top, to the point where I think that is what was intended. Travolta's role is small. Thought about giving movie only a 6 but adjusted to a low 7 based on fact this is a very 1970's movie.
Rescue Dawn (2006)
So Bad... stopped watching after an hour
Bale's character was incredibly annoying. How is his character a naval aviator??? His jumpsuit was too big for him. His USN title was Flight Lieutenant? Upon crashing, he ditched his sidearm? His helmet had no visor and looked like an old football helmet. The captors were a circus show of freaks. All of the enemy soldiers in the middle of the jungle had crisp clean uniforms like they just got them from the dry cleaners. Go watch bat21 instead. This was crap.

Don't Waste Your Time
Simply put, not scary at all. Overall second rate productions.
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Had Moments But Probably Not What You Are Expecting from a Shining Sequel
Movie itself was not scary. Lacked the original Shining's chill factor. The plot was only loosely connected to the first movie > soul sucking telepathic humans who act like vampires and live in RV's. Ewan McGregor was really good, which was worth an additional point alone. Nevertheless, the movie held my interest the whole time.
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
A hot mess
Had a few satirical moments worth a chuckle, but this is not a comedy. Not an action movie. Not a true drama. Not sure how to describe it except to say that this was simply not a good movie. Go see something else.
