For a sci-fi film I found the premise pretty obvious, but not in a bad way!
The title is Imitation Girl, and we're led to believe that the girl who materialises is the imitation. Which is always true in a way, but I think what the film is suggesting is that the imitation is actually just unrealised promise.
One thing that annoyed me about the production is the switching between Persian (because my subtitles didn't work for those sections), but there's a clear symmetry between the imitation being able to pick up a new language, while the real girl has forgotten the language of music.
So our real girl ventures off into the stars to find a planet where she can speak their language.
