The book was better...But it was Great!!
4 June 2004
I really enjoyed watching this new installment of the Harry Potter series. I thought that the special effects were a brilliant part that helped bring Hogwarts, Buckbeak, and many other animations to life. Although I liked the book better, I do give credit to Alfonso Cuaron for giving the audience a good and enjoyable movie. He managed to use great special effects with a good story, although the book had a much better story, and I was more anxious to find out the ending of the book than watching the movie. And one part of the movie that I missed very much was Richard Harris who had a great performance in the previous installments. I think the new Dumbledore didn't have the voice and the look to make it seem that Dumbledore was one of the greatest wizards of the wizard world. Again all three young actors, Harry, Ron, and Hermione pull off another great performance together. Including the acting from Sirius, Snape, and Lupin who give outstanding performances that gives the movie a better feel. So I certainly await with great excitement the fourth installment of Harry Potter, which by the way is my favorite book.

A Powerful Movie!!
21 March 2004
What a powerful, impacting, and amazing movie that captures audience's feelings and consciences. The Passion of the Christ shows our world today the power of friendship between Jesus and his apostles, the power of relationship between a mother and a son, and the power of one man against evil. The entire cast especially Maia Morgenstern who plays Mary, gives outstanding performances, and Jim Caviezel is at his best. The amazing music gives extra emotion to the actors and to their dialogue. It was very well done by Mel Gibson, and he has delivered a movie that impacts audiences and has showed us a realistic and new view at Jesus's death. Bravo!! 10 out of 10

TOO MUCH!!!!
14 March 2004
Where can I start with this movie. Well first of all, the plot outline. In this movie there is way too much going on, revenge is the only thing we hear about. The only goal that isn't about revenge is that of Johnny Depp's. Which by the way gave the only good acting, I mean Willem Dafoe was practically dipped in chocolate to look like he did. I believe that the story could have been much better about a Mexican revolution and Johnny Depp trying to get the money. Instead, they put Inspector Gadget on steroids by having guns and bombs everywhere. Because I liked the main goal of the movie, getting the money when the government and guerilla are fighting, I give this movie a 5 out of 10 (very generous).

My favorite musical/love story!!!!
16 January 2004
Moulin Rouge is my favorite musical as well as loves story!! I think that the Original Score and Song are awesome and make the movie come alive. The choreography and dances were awesome. And where was its Oscar nominations, Best actor(Ewan Mcgregor), and especially director, Baz Luhrmann. The love story was my favorite above all. I loved it!!!

Good Movie..
4 January 2004
The Last Samurai is a good movie. I liked the story as well as the battle sequences. But it isn't the best movie of the year!!! It started off very well but then many scenes dragged. I especially liked Watanabe. If The Last Samurai gets an Oscar nomination for acting it should be Watanabe. But at the end the story as well as Tom's character dragged. 8/10.

My favorite love story!!!!
30 December 2003
Without doubt, Moulin Rouge is my favorite love story that I have ever seen on screen. With the great love story, the amazing music, and the extraordinary acting, Moulin Rouge manages to keep me interested on the story and the characters. Though I admit the camera made me dizzy a bit, the movie exceeds. Loved It!! 9/10.

The Best Movie a Movie Can Be!!!!
23 December 2003
What a great end to Tolkien's adventure story. I as a reader of the Lord of the Rings am greatly satisfied by the hard work and great performances the actors as well as Peter Jackson have made. Though the movie cuts parts of the book, the story still is whole and nothing is cut without good reason. The endings at the movie aren't dragging at all like others believe. The movie had to end all the stories of all the characters. A Great Opus from Peter Jackson. One of the Greatest movies of all time.... NO DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!!!
