Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Oh My....
I had high hopes.
Those went out of the window at warp 5-ish.
What does Fuller have against Klingons.
The only redeeming feature of this whole sorry mess of a show is that for most of the time that the faux Klingons are speaking you have to read the sub-titles.
This is a good thing as it draws your attention away from having to look at the abomination that has been inflicted on the poor Klingon race.
This should be called Star Wreck so as not to be confused with the vastly superior Star Trek.
Struggled through the whole of the 1st season. Thankfully these days seasons are usually short, although this seemed to drag on and on. A 2 episode story dragged out to a season. Fuller & Co must have been suffering from The Hobbit syndrome.
Do I renew my All Access, I think not.
The Orville is superior in every way. Original stories and fun too.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Parting Shot (2016)
Really was quite bored with this episode, a tedious filler.
Huge fan of this series. However, this was an absolutely awful episode. What a waste of 40 minutes.
So two characters leave. Why? They have to leave SHIELD. Again, why? This episode just ended up being a tedious filler when a 5 minute section in a real episode could have explained why they had to leave would have more than sufficed and been equally as unfathomable....
What a shame that we don't seem to have the writers that we had pre-2008, i.e. the writers guild strike. Series production has drastically altered since then; shorter seasons, odd scripts, not enough episodes to fill-out the characters. So I'm confused that we have a complete episode devoted to 2 characters that promptly get dropped.
If the standard of this episode is repeated then I can see this show losing viewers and being cancelled. Hopefully the next episode will get back on track.
Please can I have that 40+ minutes of my life back so that I can enjoy watching some grass grow.
Agent Carter (2015)
Don't bother, 42 minutes of your life down the pan for each episode
I watched the first episode, oh dear, dreadful, boring, really outstandingly bad. To be honest I really wasn't expecting much as Carter is only a minor character.
This failed to live up to my low expectations of it.
What the heck was Marvel thinking allowing this to be made. To make matters worse this awful show is being broadcast to split up the showing of the superior Shield.
A suggestion, if we can give a 10 for a perfect show why on earth can we not give something that is a total waste of time a justified big fat 0, zero, nil.......
Agent Carter fails; acting is cheesy and too camp; the plot was ... hang on ... was there a plot?
Svetlana (2010)
I disliked this, at first ...
After seeing the first episode I disliked it and didn't watch another one until some months later. Thinking about it, I realised that the show had made me feel 'uncomfortable'. Great, a show that promoted a reaction. Then I watched more and now I have watched every episode at least once. Vlad has to be my favorite character. Finally a show to poke you in the ribs after so much mediocre drivel on network television. This not a run-of-the-mill comedy that doesn't even make you smile, it's not A N Other 'Cop Show' / 'Medical Mishap' / 'Courtroom Caper'. This is different ... Vive La Différence! (sorry, not Russian) :)
