The Pale Blue Eye (2022)
Henry stole the show
I've always adored Christian Bale, but I was shocked to see how Henry, the same actor who played Dudley in Harry Potter completely stole the show. However if it wasn't for him the film would have gotten a lower score.
It's a fairly slow burner of a story, focusing on the murders of a few cadets. Bale's character is brought in to investigate the murders and find unlikely help from a Cadet with the name of Edgar Allen Poe. A mystery film in which suspicions can be raised if you watch it with a careful eye. If you wish to see a great performance by an actor that you may not have seen before in such grand movies, I'd advice you check this one out.
Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)
It can't reach 10/10
I played the game on PC with high to max settings. I never experienced any game breaking bugs, and for me it was the gaming experience of the year. The freedom of approach and action is extremely refreshing, but it still manages to keep a interesting and emerging main story, with EXCELLENT side quests with plenty of length on them too. You're doing yourself a massive disservice by not playing the side stories. Even more so than if you missed the Red dead redemption 2 side quests.
The world it drops you in is incredible, the soundtrack is A tier, the gun play is serviceable and melee is incredibly satisfying.
However it can not reach the 10/10, if you have a PS4 or Xbox one. HOLD OFF on buying it just yet until the many bugs and issues are fixed on the consoles. I experienced a few glitches and bugs myself but never anything game ruining.
TLDR: Buy on PC And new generation consoles. Don't just yet on the old ones.
Marriage Story (2019)
You gotta side with Charlie
Firstly you need to see this very realistic and just... incredible performance. To just watch the scenes without any context would be worth it. However.
The thing that I don't quite understand is how all the promotional things says that you never side with one or the other. Constantly fluctuating between the two. That was not the case in this movie at all. I found myself constantly siding with Charlie. His wife who lied, manipulated and tried to bankrupt him goes between confused to pure villainy. And when Charlie after quite a long time eventually fires back to keep his child she acts shocked and hurt. When she has dragged him through hell and back while constantly lying about wanting to do things without lawyers or that it's just a formality. But even if you, as I do pick one side. And stick with it for the entire film. It is incredible to watch and worth every second.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
Don't listen to the snobs
This was a great Rambo film. Violent and with some grand acting on the "daughters" part in my opinion. If you want a Rambo film you have it here in all its glory.
