Reunion (2020)
Giving 3 stars for the ending.
I'm not a fan of movies that are confusing the entire way through.
This movie is slower than slow. Watching paint dry is a bit faster. It catches your attention becaus you want to figure out why all the weird stuff going on. Your brain tries to connect the dots, tries to validate watching it.
Alas, it's really only until the last maybe 20 minutes that you get to put everything together and connect the dots.
I gave it three stars instead of one because they did tie everything up at the end, so no loose ends. THANKFULLY.
The Last Rite (2021)
Meh...just okay.
First off, the boyfriends/fiancée/husband whatever he is plays his roll of a jerk very well; and I'll leave that at that.
Moving on....
Since it was an exorcism movie I had high expectations. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. It's not a horrible movie, not even a bad movie...I was just underwhelmed.
The possession moves were a bit silly and look like normal yoga stretches.
If you're in the mood to be very mildly scared then you've found your movie, otherwise maybe watch something else.
No Exit (2022)
Chilling Suspense
If your looking for an edge of your seat thriller with a few twist then this is for you. To start I thought I knew what was going on be then BAM. I knew nothing. Jump to 20 more minutes and WHOA...I didn't see THAT coming. All in all great movie that keeps you thinking and it didn't leave me disappointed at the end.
The Night (2020)
There stars because I thought I might go somewhere.
If you'd like to remain completely confused at the end of a thriller, then this is the film for you. It's a slow film...that gives off the impression that it's really going somewhere. With 25 minutes left I thought, "okay...we're getting somewhere" but then the story takes a U-turn and leaves you in a loop of nothingness.
With a little more explanation MAYBE it could have been a 5 star.
