As a royal fan and a person with common sense, I find this show ridiculously stupid.

First of all, the writing is awful. Some of these characters have no personality whatsoever. Ophelia, an annoying American, has absolutely no flaws. Prince Liam is even worse in that everyone talks to him like he's a total ladies' man but his demeanor and words show a weak/timid guy.

Eleanor, the princess, has some personality but her situation makes absolutely no sense. If she hates this family so much, why doesn't she just take herself out of the succession line and move out? Or why doesn't the family kick her out? She's an adult after all. And she would have been trained/conditioned when she was very little to never wear or act the way she does. Kind of ridiculous how Helena, the Queen (Consort) and her mother, spends so much time worrying about her image but pretty much says very little about Eleanor's royally- inappropriate clothes.

Bad writing. Bad characters. Boring plot lines.

Completely inaccurate to real life. I know most Americans don't care about realistic portrayals, but it says a lot about the producers in that they don't care either.

Anyone who complains about this show clearly expects waay too much out of it. Coming in, I knew it was just something light-hearted that's not meant to raise anyone's IQ...and I was okay with that. Turn off your brain and it could be a very fun experience. I found Ryan to be quite a catch. Even if he doesn't seem like the brightest person in the room, he still comes across as a rather sweet and fun guy (there's no need to hate). He's just a kid at heart and the things he says (like the "jumping banana") are pretty stupid that they're cute and funny. There are moments when you want to go, "Did he seriously just do/say that?" But they're what makes the show.

Bottom line, don't expect too much. This show is a perfect one for those easy Sunday nights.

Probably one of the most boring movies I've ever watched. Seriously boring.

I get that some are deep enough to appreciate the meaning behind the "nothingness" (if that's the right word) in it, and I guess I understand it too once certain people have pointed it out, but it still doesn't make it worth spending 2 hours watching this. About 20 minutes in, I was tired of watching people sitting under a tree and staring at the sky that I started doing my nails and eyebrows and I still didn't miss a thing that happened. And there's so little dialogue here that I could recall every single thing the characters said.

I do like the concept and the plot, though. I just wasn't expecting such a drag.
