Okay, so some of the stereotypes are wayyy over the top. Some of the acting is terrible. Some of the storylines are absurd ... and yet I'm weirdly addicted.

I've just watched 8 episodes straight and it's now 3am.

It's not a series to take to seriously.

I'm in the process of watching it for a third time. I never read the books so had no prior knowledge of the plot and characters and that hasn't been an issue.

Some of the 1 star reviews state that a "young girl finding her confidence" has all been done before which clearly shows they haven't watched or understood the story line. Alina throughout is confident. Even as a young child. She's just figuring things out as she goes along which considering her story makes sense.

I love that there isn't a single episode which is padded out for the sake of it. Every scene has purpose.

The casting seems pretty perfect to me. There was very little if any poor acting.

If there isn't a season 2 .. 3 ... 4 or more I may take to the streets to protest.

Love the way it was filmed. Loved the cast. Acting was spot on.

Enjoyed the series. Kept me gripped. Thought the cast were brilliant.
