Carlos Ghosn: The Last Flight (2021)
Needs better subtitles
The subtitles are so bad, that unless you speak both French and Japanese, you'll miss about half the content of this documentary. Other than this, what you can understand is a very interesting look at modern business.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Poor reflection of the original
A poor reflection of the original and a generally poor who-dunnit. All of the villains success lies in the victims being morons. Experienced police rushing in to a dangerous situation alone, forensics personnel who can't tell the difference between a fresh tattoo and an old one etc.
Paul (2011)
Fantastic!
Absolutely loved the performances by several greats and seeing Sigorney Weaver as a villain was incredible, she did a fantastic job. Multiple laugh out loud moments and a great performance by Danny Trejo too.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)
Great action
Although he's getting older, Cruise is still bringing the action in spades. A great storyline that ties in to some previous events from other movies and shows some good character development.
The Call (2020)
Not bad, not great either.
With Tobin Bell and Lyn Shae, you can't help but see similarities in this to the other movies they're famous for. It is not as good as those, but if you watch it without expectations of seeing a Saw or Insidious conjoining, you might be pleasantly surprised. The budget is middle of the road but the story is more psychologically driven than SFX, so that's ok.
Legends of the Lost with Megan Fox (2018)
Contrived
They make the amazing "discovery" that women were equals in viking society. While I've never read anything to indicate otherwise, apparently this show is about the "revolutionary" discovery that women could be warriors and traders in viking society. Despite this flaw, the production values are reasonable, Meagan offers some personal insights and the scenery is breathtaking.
