A classic movie with outstanding actors!
1 March 2004
One of Tyrone Powers best efforts as an actor. Linda Darnell is, as usual absoulutly beautiful. Rita, just doesn't make it in the looks department. One wonders why Juan ever left his gorgeous wife (Linda) for this little vixan, Rita. Anthony Quinn is superb as the heavy.

The bull fighting scenes are the best ever filmed. I,personally, do not care for this sport (?). The scene where Power looks eye to eye with the bull, turns his back to the bull and slowly walks away while draging his cape along the sand is a mind blower. This is one of 20th Century Fox's finest moments in motion pictures. How the Academy picked "Sgt. York" over this as best picture of 1941 is a real mystery to me.

One of Republic's shinning moments
3 February 2004
I remember seeing this as an eight year old kid back at the Amo Theater in Detroit. I see it now every six months and it still thrills me to see the best of Republic at work. The principle actors are all most enjoyable. Charles Middleton is supurb once again as the nasty villan. The one episode that has really stuck with me all my 71 years is the outstanding tunnel scenes. Everytime I'm in San Francisco and take the BART under the Bay waters I think of that episode and get a little relived when I reach the other side. Al Guzman Las Vegas, NV

Absolutely superb!

In my 71 years I still hold "The Four Feathers" as my all time favorite movie. The acting is outstanding and the photography is beautifully done. You'll never see anything like this again if you live to be 200. It's too bad that this was released in 1939 when so many block busters were released by Hollywood.
