Grimm's Snow White (2012 Video)

Outrageous
23 March 2012
One of those movies that are so bad you wonder why anyone would make them. Poor acting, poor CG, poor costumes and most of all poor plot.

Retelling a famous story is fine but this had nothing to do with Snow White! I think they used the Snow White name to try to draw some viewers.

Even for entertainment, it is not worth it. You can laugh when you see the CG characters, or the "beautiful" Snow White, but in the end it makes you wish there was some censorship to ensure minimal quality of movies or that the famous names, such as Snow White, were protected from such blatant amateurism.

Propaganda plot, military fails
23 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
It is so propaganda, you want to walk away in the middle of the movie. One side is all (incompetent) heroes and they are protecting the female; the other is led by a crazy, twisted (not in a good entertaining way, but irritating) Cambridge graduate-turned Taleban, who is selling 12 year old girls and (silently) swears vengeance after the first question the female journalist asks him ("Why are you here?" of all the questions). If you do not know much about the region after this movie you will think that there is a handful of soldiers in Afghanistan, fighting desperately to protect the civilian population, against hordes of Taleban zombies, whom the locals detest. Probably makes you think send more soldiers and money and the problem will be solved.

SPOILERS Other reviewers listed the military fails. They are actually entertaining: - The president orders the rescue operation and the military chief says they are on their way. You think "Wow!" but the 60 people he mentions never materialize

  • somehow lost radios mean there will be no successful extraction,

  • there is only one way through the mountains, apparently, but in the end they are ambushed by the guys who seem to be not affected in the least by the said mountains

  • Commandos apparently know nothing about how to fight pursuers. No ambushes, no explosives, no traps, no diversions, no plans - just due West through the mountains

Verdict: watch it if you like this-side-is-good-and-the-other-side-is- bad action movies.
