Global Convoy (2018)
Should have been titled "All about us"
I'm no quitter so I suffered it to the end but boy! Was it a challenge. Their premise is people around the world are kind and helpful and generous . But they speed through everything so much so the these great people we never get to know, neither their names nor their background or history. They barely show the scenery but we sure get a load of them and their car problems! There is no value in what is being shown. It is highly self-centered amateurish filming. And it is certainly not a documentary, as you won't learn anything at all about any of the countries they've sped through. So they won prizes, well whoop-de-doo!
Doctor Sleep (2019)
The movie is a full hour too long.
Talk about milking a plot! I almost surrendered 30 min. before the end. And although I do appreciate McGregor as an actor, his American accent is just awful.
Leslie Jones: Time Machine (2020)
Felt like a belly flop
I had great expectations and was hoping Leslie's Netflix special would be a springboard for her post-SNL career. Unfortunately, it falls flat due to the constant yelling and endless physical performances which were aimed at covering the lack of content and direction. She says she had a great time doing it but alas, she's the only one who actually had fun (laughing at her own jokes throughout).
Hello, Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea (2019)
Only Chelsea could do it
Bravo to Chelsea for addressing the issue head on. I've seen the 1 star reviews and for sure, they're not from Black or Brown people!
Wanda Sykes: Not Normal (2019)
Laughed my head off!
What a smart, self-confident, bold woman! She's at the top of her game.
