Mission Pluto (2015)
Supreme waste of time
44 minutes of hashing and rehashing the same information. Almost no science, but, the real miss came with the lack of any outcome. You title the film Mission to Pluto, talking about the wonderful photos the craft will provide and the scientific bonanza, then leave us with none of either!
Sunshine (2007)
Great cast and screenplay spoiled by cheap and lazy direction.
The directors and producers of this film should be ashamed. What could have been gripping action scenes were torpedoed by lackluster film making. Instead of directing/producing scenes that require real artistry and imagination, we get the cheap substitutes like shaking the camera to simulate real motion (shades of the original Star Trek tv series), steam coming out of wreckage (exactly which part of a space craft operates on steam?), and the worst method of all, flashing white lights. Even in today's reality, how often have you seen lights flashing on and off when damage occurs?!? It's a lazy way of trying to create chaos in a scene. I can only watch this movie and think what might have been.
