Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014)
Ehh; but Worth a Watch
Like all of the sequels which made in movie industry, this can't live up to expectations, at least for me. But it was fun to watch.
Sin City, as an adaptation of comics was pretty good as it reflects the atmosphere very well. As for as I observe this one tried it but can't get near to it also the 3D nonsense. What was this for? It is simple to answer it: profit. I couldn't see anything in the movie which would be superb to see with 3D. Nothing but a headache. And Eva Green. This might be personal but I don't like the way she acts. Ruined it. Just a bunch of nipples and green eyes.
Generally movie was good, and of course Mickey Rourke.
It will be worth your money, believe me.
Hesher (2010)
HeshhheR
I would like to say it's a great movie just because of its cast but don't fall for it. A two or three months ago I watched the trailer and see Metallica in it. And I was like 'What's this movie been up man?' so I watched it last night.
First off, it's not all about a metal-head. It has some serious darkness and depression in it. You can't even laugh loudly when Hesher farts.
I must say that. So many clichés show up in the movie. But the actors give the emotions very good and strong. And of course a metal-head post-teen take you into film's atmosphere.
In some moments where you hear Hetfield and Lemmy you just smile and be happy.
Hesher was acted superb by J GL. You just emphasize him and like him. The child did his best. Character developments were very good.
You just feel sad for father, son and grandmother, in the meantime feel good with Hesher.
Generally, cliché script and directing and some good musics make this movie watchable.
Dance with the Devil (2008)
That is what 'Immortal' is
They drove around the projects slow while it was raining Smoking blunts, drinking and joking for entertainment Until they saw a woman on the street walking alone Three in the morning, coming back from work, on her way home And so they quietly got out the car and followed her Walking through the projects, the darkness swallowed her They wrapped her shirt around her head and knocked her onto the floor This is it kid now you got your chance to be raw So Billy yoked her up and grabbed the chick by the hair And dragged her into a lobby that had nobody there She struggled hard but they forced her to go up the stairs They got to the roof and then held her down on the ground Screaming shut the f¥ck up and stop moving around The shirt covered her face, but she screamed and clawed So Billy stomped on the bit$h, until he broken her jaw The dirty basterds knew exactly what they were doing They kicked her until they cracked her ribs and she stopped moving Blood leaking through the cloth, she cried silently And then they all proceeded to rape her violently Billy was made to go first, but each of them took a turn Ripping her up, and choking her until her throat burned Her broken jaw mumbled for God but they weren't concerned When they were done and she was lying bloody, broken and bruised One of them ni@@as pulled out a brand new twenty-two They told him that she was a witness of what she'd gone through And if he killed her he was guaranteed a spot in the crew He thought about it for a minute, she was practically dead And so he leaned over and put the gun right to her head Right before he pulled the trigger, and ended her life He thought about the cocaine with the platinum and ice And he felt strong standing along with his new brothers Cocked the gat to her head, and pulled back the shirt cover But what he saw made him start the cringe and stutter Cause he was staring into the eyes of his own mother She looked back at him and cried, cause he had forsaken her She cried more painfully, than when they were raping her His whole world stopped, he couldn't even contemplate His corruption had successfully changed his fate And he remembered how his mom used to come home late Working hard for nothing, cause now what was he worth He turned away from the woman that had once given him birth And crying out to the sky cause he was lonely and scared But only the devil responded, cause god wasn't there And right then he knew what it was to be empty and cold And so he jumped off the roof and died with no soul They say death take you to a better place but I doubt it After that they killed his mother, and never spoke about it And listen cause the story that I'm telling is true Cuz I was there with Billy Jacobs and I raped his mom too And now the devil follows me everywhere that I go In fact, I'm sure he's standing among one of you at my shows And every street cypher listening to little thugs flow He could be standing right next to you, and you wouldn't know The devil grows inside the hearts of the selfish and wicked White, brown, yellow and black colored is not restricted You have a self destructive destiny when you're inflicted and you'll be one of god's children that fell from the top There's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot So when the devil wants to dance with you, you better say never Because the dance with the devil might last you forever
V for Vendetta (2005)
Not only this movie entertains you for 2 hours but does it show you a reputation of genius poetry
"Remember remember, the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot, I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot" "Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose.'' This movie, I think, just for this scene of V is worth a watch. Nothing can be said adding to that. GENIUS!
Pitch Perfect (2012)
just wow!
A fun movie with lots of laugh in between some good singing numbers. Other than the lead actress Anna Kendrick actually sang with her own voices, the rest were mostly lip singing especially the two white girls. It gave me a lot of fun. Mainly the musics has been selected very well. Especially Bulletproof was very good. And jokes were good too. I haven't seen any 'cliché' in the movie. Its very fascinating because we had missed no cliché containing movie since this was released. One of the best movies I have seen this year. If you proclaim like 'Oh yes one more High School Musical' , don't do that because this movie is different all of others. I guarantee the joy.
Blood Diamond (2006)
Bloody Awful Acting by Connelly but This Movie is 'Bloody' Excellent as Hell
Set against the backdrop of civil war and chaos in 1990s Sierra Leone, "Blood Diamond" is the story of Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou), a Mende fisherman. Both men are African, but their histories as different as any can be, until their fates become joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives. While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon - who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields - has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone. With the help of Maddy Bowen (Jennifer Connelly), an American journalist whose idealism is tempered by a deepening connection with Archer, the two men embark on a trek through rebel territory, a journey that could save Solomon's family and give Archer the second chance he thought he would never have. The best thing about the movie is realistic war scenes and the worst thing is Connelly's acting-awful-. I can't even compare her acting House of Sand and Of Fog and Blood Diamond.
A Cry from the Grave (1999)
The Cry Of The Innocents
A Cry from the Grave tells the story of the Srebrenica massacre of 1995, in which the Bosnian Serb army killed an estimated 7,000 Bosnian Muslims. It follows hour by hour the story of the killings. Through the testimony of survivors and relatives of those who died it explores the pain felt when no one is brought to justice. There are interviews with investigators from the UN-sponsored court at The Hague and from the UN special prosecutor. But the underlying message of the film is bleak indeed - no matter what is done, it will never be enough. A Cry from the Grave has won numerous prizes. It has been shown at the UN, and it was used during a war crimes trial at The Hague.
