New Life (2023)
Everybody needs to see "NEW LIFE"...!!!
John Rosman's "New Life", however, is cohesive, visually stunning and highly entertaining from beginning to end. The first-time filmmaker, who wrote and directed the 85-minute thriller, makes everything feel sneakily grandeur & his directorial approach and messaging is something out of the box...
At the half past Rosman frequently shifts gears to keep them in a loop so to speak, trapped within the brutal truths of their earthly existence & so do humanity still exists on pure manner ...
Cinematographer Mark Evans create an epic feel while keeping the action on the ground & still maintains the first half pace with some beauty of the nature with such a professional work that it makes us suddenly dumb of what is going to come in the 2nd half which is not possible without the contribution of editing that's brilliantly carried by editorial department...
Sonya Walger and Hayley Erin each give great performances, providing emotional layers through every aspect of their body language...
The twist brings everything into emotionally resonant focus, showing how our two characters were more similar than they were different...
The most ambitious and effective filmmakers understand what general audiences pulse & Rosman builds to a powerful resolution and ideal ending moment in New Life, using gore and traditional methods to escalate the tension & there by keeping audience in a loop...also A gentle but deathly reminder of who's in control, a tease of what's to come...
Overall "New Life" feels fresh and innovative, presenting a mix that works so well that it's a wonder no one ever tried to do something similar before...
Cannonball Run II (1984)
Awesome Cars with an Awesome Cast...!!!
One of the Best movie of my childhood, bringing back my memories or yester years...With Always funnny, great actors and comedians...
A film that makes you laugh. Not to be taken in any way, but a fun film with cheesy gags and that's why I love it...
Don't know why the hell critics gave it such rotten reviews but this movie is a laugh a minute!
Also critics say that it is ain't good enough as the prequel but To be fair enough what else can you expect from a car race movie with major likeables such as star partnerships, funny jokes, fast cars & pretty girls to keep you on a right track...
Overall a must see movies for every 90's kids or a modern day turned movie buffs 🤣🤣🤣
Bloodline Killer (2024)
A complete let down...!!!
A different kind of slasher film, one that digs into what it means to be a survivor...Bloodline Killer has a decent enough cast and a solid premise, but it gets lost in a plot that never really goes anywhere...
The pacing was dreadful. Everything dragged so much felt like watching this for hours. It was really tough time get through...
The dialogue was AWFUL. There were a few noteble actors yet no one really shined & can't really blame them though because this film didn't give them a lot to work with, but this was so disappointing...
The fight scenes and kills were ridiculous of not gory they could have tried to make them at least a little bit scary and inventive...
Also hoping for an explosive ending to redeem this film, but it didn't come close to achieving that...
El hoyo (2019)
Intense gruesome & a must see...!!!
The concept is unique and original, some people voluntarily came to a prison where there are levels and those who live in the upper levels get well-enough food and slowly when it gets down to lower levels, there is nothing left and people even become cannibal for that and each month the prisoners are shifted in a different level. The thrilling vibes it gives and somewhere expose the term 'capitalism' make it one of the best movies ever made at least by Netflix...
It is an experience. When Baharat and Goreng were coming down distributing food to lower levels and have to deliever a messege to level zero. It is actually a symbolism to fight against capitalist society...
It has a unique dystopian horror setting and the prescient symbolism at the core of the narrative. At first glance, the film appears to be a story of individual greed and the struggle to survive, but as the movie reaches its haunting conclusion, it becomes clear that there's something deeper going on...
Set in a dystopian future, it symbolizes the capitalist society in a darker shade. At the same time putting a lot of emphasis on communist Ideologies and try to promote them as well. But in my honest opinion, no matter what political structure you belong from; it's a deep socio-political satire that speaks for all the civilized countries nonetheless.
This movie portrayed a great message to the society. Take what you need, don't be greedy, don't take more than your "necessity". We have limited resources. If you take more, someone have to be hungry which is a great reflection of our society. In our community, there are some people who have the capability to buy food for 100 years and some people can't even afford enough food for today...
On the downside, this film contains certain degree of gruesome, adult content and disturbing scenes. Hence, it is not suitable for the weak hearted people. The screenplay of this film is designed with metaphorical treatment to convey the social message which some audience may don't get it.
Overall, The Platform is a path breaking thriller which delivers a strong social message. Give a try for it's unique treatment and style of making...
Abigail (2024)
A bloody fun film...!!!
"Abigail" is a delightful surprise, a film that dances elegantly on the line between horror and comedy. With a wacky high-concept and a stellar ensemble cast, this movie takes the well-worn vampire narrative and infuses it with a fresh twist. The story of a group of kidnappers who find themselves outwitted by a child-sized vampire is both original and captivating...
The performances are particularly noteworthy, with Alisha Weir delivering a standout performance as the titular character, bringing a mix of menace and charm to her role. The supporting cast, including Kevin Durand and Dan Stevens, provide a solid backbone to the narrative, each adding their own flavor to the mix...
Melissa Barrera's thinly drawn anti-heroine team leader...she's the one actor on hand who seems to understand the value of the flick & acts accordingly to keep the flow study...
The film's direction is slick and stylish, ensuring that the action scenes are well-choreographed and the blood splatter looks viscously authentic. Despite its conventional setup, "Abigail" manages to keep the audience engaged with its quick pace and laugh-out-loud humour...
Cinematography by Aaron Morton is moody, dark, and intense...
The mansion, the vampire's den is as delicious as the colosseum.
Iron gates, sporty rats, garlic and crucifixes...all the necessary staples that make vampire flick mythical and romantic...
Overall, "Abigail" is a must-watch for genre fans and those looking for a film that offers both thrills and laughs. It's a cheerful genre that will keep you entertained from start to finish...
Anchakkallakokkan (2024)
Prepare for another fresh artistic feast...!!!
The movie has a lot of suspense & tension with investigation & narration of few parallel stories...
Set in a fictional village of Kerala-Karnataka border in 80's narrates the story of Thangamani incident...
Malayalam speaking characters with a touch of kannada brings the freshness & elevates the movie to a new level...
The screenplay is written by Ullas who also is a director & brother of Vinod Chempan adopts the folklore art form "PORATTU" while it based on Vasudevan who is said to be of pana community representing ANCHALLAKOKKAN that used to scare children with a adaption of western style gives a making a visual grandeur...
The rhythm of "ANCHALLAKOKKAN" is safe in the hands of music director Manikandan Ayyappan who excels in making the uniqueness of folk culture & interwening western style thriller & underpinning the storytelling...
Chamban Vinod plays the role of the cool cop Nadavaramban, and in his signature style, he fits the part. The transition happening to the character looks pretty subtle in the movie's climax and Chemban keeps it row..
Lukman Avaran is playing this character who is not comfortable with violence, and there is an extensive enough backstory that explains why he is like that. The character also has two shades, and somewhere these shades looked a bit too animated when it transforms as the plot appeals...
Ullas Chemban has used this technique of showing different angles of one particular event multiple times in the movie, and that somewhere shows the fact that he knows how basic the concept is. There is no wow factor to the story, and they are trying to add that predominantly through the staging of the scenes...
The major drawback is none of these stories has that depth to connect with the audience on an emotional level, and hence, the gore fest in the finale feels more like an effort to cover up the superficial writing of the movie...
Overall the visual grandeur & the making excels to take an advantage in the audience point view keeping the flick fairly engaging and is a must watch for its passionate artists who loves this art form of making good flicks ..
Shock (2006)
Gripping but no shock in it...!!!
First half of the film is neat. First half is driven completely as per the demand of script without going for commercial gimmicks. Second half lets you down. The revenge taking episodes are not dealt in interesting way. First half of the film offers something to the family crowds and the second half is action driven...
Director should have opted for straight narration in stead of inserting flashback episode of lead pair's romance in the second half. Technically it holds the fort as it is from the house of RGV...
With most of the cast did a very crispy performance is an out of the box movie at that times making it a box office disaster weirdly...
Pamyo (2024)
Isn't entirely unique but manages skillfully...!!!
Exhuma is supernatural film that slowly builds up the mystery and there are no jumpscares When you just think you know what is going to happen, the makers surprise it with the plot twist...
It was really scary in the first 1 hour, especially the coffin and grandpa seek revenge on the descendants...
The plot thickens when they arrived at the eerie looking grave site. There's shamanic, feng shui, East Asian burial ritual, spirit possession, Korean history and Japanese occupation history info to gain while this movie...
There's a reason why the Asian elders who survived the Japanese occupation continues to hate the Japanese up till now. So many horrendous acts have been commited and things done to their graves even after death...Historically accurate and is focused on the culture and traditions about respecting the dead in the southeast asia & how important is properly burying the dead...
To non-Asians, this is a good movie to watch to understand why Asians have their own ways and rituals of showing respect to their ancestors and honoring the dead...
Overall it's not everybody's cup of tea but one can find it interesting to explore the culture of Korean & Japan...
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
Unpredictable is the best compliment...!!!
The film creates an atmosphere of discomfort that is accented perfectly by the cast's delicately rigid acting, and it plunges you in so deep that it draws a direct connection with your soul...
The movie is so immersive that its climax strikes you almost as powerfully as if it was happening to your own family, takes you to corners of your mind you've never been, and shines a piercing light on the extreme imbalances of the human condition...
Colin Farrell perfectly performs the man driven mad with guilt yet maintains the societal status with dignity & his emotion counterpart holds the movie...While Nicole is deliberately kept underplayed...
Martin's (Barr keoghan) "super powers" that are undeniably mysterious & his flawless performance holds the key in getting you until the climax...
Even after the plot twist occurs and you understand what is really happening and what the goal is, you don't care. The characters never make you care about them so you are as detached from them as they are to each other...
The movie takes an unconventional approach towards an extremely difficult situation ... death of a loved one... and removes all feelings from it . Yet, at the same time this movie is truly genius in evoking your feelings...
How come the Martin makes Bob and Kim paralyzed is out of bound! Modern medical science cannot find and cause for this and baffled parents try hard to save their children's lives by following command of absurdly mysterious teenager. There is no comprehension of how Bob is becoming severe ill- & this may attract some viewers or disgust some. Mother gives reasoning for killing own son in order to protect other family members is weird & pointless...
Overall it's perfect outing for Lanthimos & watch it if your fan of his creation.
Shiti Hanta (2024)
Sleepy hallow...!!!
Based on a Manga and has already been made into a cartoon in the 1980s and a movie starring Jackie Chan in 1993. I'm sure there are lots of fans all over the world, who will love this Netflix movie...
The film proves again that live-action adaptations work when the heart of the source material is honored especially in Japanese flick...
Action Director Takashi Tanimoto's fight choreography is absolutely stunning. Each fight has a weight that makes it feel intense. However, that's balanced against a slapstick comedy that softens the mood without softening any blows. While the hand-to-hand combat in City Hunter is absolutely top-notch, it's the gun work that stands out. Sure, these bullet physics may not be real, but they look really good and pack a large punch.
The protagonist character is portrayed as "pervy" as he stares most of the times at women clevage objectifying sexuality is a major drawback...
Despite some some positive message to fight for your loved ones or close friends & protect those who cannot protect themselves it has more of a sleeping pill elements...
Overall, the big problem here is that the whole film cannot be taken seriously at any level, as the film handles itself as nothing more than a parody!
Arcadian (2024)
A literally Unwatchable movie...!!!
Another post apocalyptic film has been released where freakishly mutated creatures, afraid of daylight, are roaming around killing the remaining living people. Nicolas Cage plays a father of twin boys who do nothing but work to survive. One of the boys runs off near daily to visit a nearby farm of other survivors, leaving the other to do the survival needs...
Totally unbelievable and unrealistic plot to begin with, Nothing was explained it's impossible to tell whose perspective we are watching from which makes it hard to connect with and root for the characters...Special Effect is good but very weird-looking creatures, no explanation or how they came to be...
Unfortunately, the movie suffers from shaky-camera-syndrome that really distracts from the movie instead of pulling us in. Every shot was uncomfortably tight. Although the lighting was dark and it made it difficult to make out what was what sometimes...The lack of fear and grief in the children after what they witness was pretty unbelievable. No lessons to be learned from this movie...
Gojira -1.0 (2023)
A new Era in the VFX world...!!!
"Godzilla Minus 1" is a cinematic masterpiece that takes the iconic Godzilla franchise to new heights. The film's breathtaking special effects and meticulously crafted scenes bring the colossal creature to life in a way that surpasses even the highest expectations. The storyline is a brilliant blend of suspense, emotion, and action, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
The character development in "Godzilla Minus 1" is exceptional, adding depth to both human and monster characters. The cast delivers stellar performances, capturing the intensity and gravitas required for a film of this magnitude. The film skillfully balances the human drama with the awe-inspiring battles between Godzilla and its adversaries, creating a perfect synergy that keeps viewers invested in every moment.
The cinematography is nothing short of breathtaking, with sweeping shots of epic monster clashes and stunning cityscapes. The sound design complements the visuals, immersing the audience in the roar of Godzilla and the chaos that ensues. The musical score is a symphony of emotions, heightening the impact of each scene...
What sets "Godzilla Minus 1" apart is its ability to pay homage to the classic Godzilla legacy while introducing fresh and innovative elements. The filmmakers have managed to evolve the franchise, ensuring it remains relevant and captivating for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
The film's military engagements against Godzilla are exhilarating, particularly the inventive plan led by Kenji Noda, which adds a strategic dimension to the monster-battling narrative. The inclusion of former Navy veterans and demilitarized warships adds a unique and authentic touch, underscoring the collective resilience of a nation recovering from war...
In conclusion, "Godzilla Minus 1" is a triumph in the world of kaiju films. It combines outstanding visuals, compelling storytelling, and a stellar cast to create an unforgettable cinematic experience. Whether you're a die-hard Godzilla fan or just a casual moviegoer, this film is a must-watch that will leave you in awe of the colossal titan and eager for more...
Chitralahari (2019)
Success,it takes time...!!!
A Good movie of an innovative, creative talented engineer trying to help people, constantly facing failures from a society which gives Success on its terms rather than welfare of the people and this Rejected Hero's calculated daring attempt in helping to save people. The movie's characters following society sterotypes always watching their own back is interesting and finally disproved by the hero's life risking daring attempt is brilliant!!
Kishore Tirumala done a good job with a very interesting and exciting twist to make it a very decent ending...Every aspirant who wants to achieve their goal but succumb to rejection constantly, could easily connect to the movie...
Patience pays and so does perseverance! And thats how the film builds the pace. Very well laid out story and subtle editing. Overall a really good film...
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
Brace yourselves for epic battles between colossal monsters...!!!
What truly sets this film apart is the emotional connection that is established with both Godzilla and Kong. You will find yourself rooting for both creatures at different points in the film, making the final battle even more intense and emotionally satisfying...
The special effects are top-notch, with both Godzilla and Kong looking incredibly realistic and intimidating. The fight sequences are epic and well choreographed, showcasing the full extent of each monster's powers...
Director Adam wingard deserves praise for his expert direction, keeping the pace brisk yet allowing for quieter, character-driven moments to shine. The score complements the action beautifully, heightening the tension and emotion throughout...
The film from start to finish is a rollercoaster with nonstop action. The light-hearted and comic-book-like portrayal of characters makes the movie appeal to a broader audience without having to catch up with every entry in the series so far...
However, the human characters take a backseat in this Titan-centric tale, and the plot can feel a bit thin at times. But who the hell needs a complex narrative when you've got Kong and Godzilla trading earth-shattering blows? The film's focus on the titans' origins and their bond with humankind adds a layer of depth, but it might leave some viewers longing for more...
Cocaine Bear (2023)
Long live Pablo Escobear...!!!
The ability to narrate a story of a bear ingesting 500 pounds of pure crack cocaine and making it a 95 minute action packed thriller might be one of earths greatest achievements...
It surpasses all the expectations by the sheer scale of it, the grandeur of a bear on cocaine and the meticulously crafted story that ensures chaos is perfectly crafted, down to the most minute detail...
Cocaine Bear is as wild as the trailer promises, delivering the coke fuelled rampage that audiences expect that is one entertaining ride if you surrender to the absurdity of the truly ridiculous plot...
Directed and produced randomly by Elizabeth Banks, who manages to infuse the film with a dark sense of humour that will have you laughing uncontrollably as this coked up bear rips it's victims to sheds!
You are in utter shock at the gruesome images that you will see onscreen, but at the same time you cannot help but laugh uncontrollably at the sheer outrageousness of everything that unfolds...
Civil War (2024)
Is "THIS" a wake-up call...!!!
Alex Garland style is somewhat similar to fellow Paul Greengrass in it's focus on gritty realism over sensationalism...Fictional it may be but feels it serves a useful reminder for the dangers frontline journalists face as well as an warning about the path the US heading on...American politics is not immune to violence so do the film is careful not to make 'good guys and bad guys' & we never learn how the war started and both US Forces and the 'Western Alliance' are morally questionable...
The movie really makes your body tremble with fear in some scenes The way A24 filmed this is very unique, through the camera lens of a military photo journalist's camera(s). The main characters perspective is always in a different screen effect than other characters which adds a lot of depth & authenticity...
At the end of the movie one can feel a bad taste towards these photographers and didn't really care if they lived or died. The characters had no arcs or personal growth at all putting others life in danger...
Once the film begins , Garland shows the absurdity and horrors of war without holding much back. Within the first few images that flash across the screen one canbfeel rattled and horrified by the acts of war. It feels uncomfortable in its realism, something that flows on throughout the film...
The sound editing was really well done and made jumpscates really well at the edge of seat when gunfire or explosions erupted. This was a well-done thriller, all around. Maybe some of the written storyline had flaws...
Overall, it is recommend to view Civil War if you want a thrilling adventure traveling through a war-torn America...One could feel the movie has a poignant message about war and how devastating it would be...
Red Right Hand (2024)
For God for family & survival...!!!
Wanting a violent drama that has disturbing action and vengeance between a backwoods family and a backwoods drug kingpin, then this movie is for those...
Orlando bloom is well spoken and on point saves the movie from dull screenplay...
Why the hell director chose Andy Mcdowell, she is ain't suited for this kind of role feels too cringy & laughable...The gratuitous gore was too hard to get past...
Despite the church sermon preaching divine vengeance the movie seals about earthly vengeance...A place where crime rules all & good people have nothing to do other than violence that even a teenage girl are taught to use guns...
Overall Red Right Hand attempts to be something more. Sometimes it reaches its goals, but overall it finds itself closer to convention...
DeAr (2024)
Nobody is perfect,we evolve...!!!
There was an earlier film that touched upon snoring and the film "Good night" got good reviews. This film too touches upon the same topic though the characters and the presentation is quite different...
The notable distinction being the gender reversal. Yet, Anand Ravichandran's direction fails to leave a mark either as an independent film or as a family entertainer...
It simplifies complex issues, suggesting that time alone can heal wounds without addressing the underlying emotional complexities. This simplistic approach detracts from the film's potential for meaningful storytelling...
Cinematography by Jadeesh is good. GVP scores the music for the film and is decent. Dialogues works in parts. Rukesh's editing is ok and direction is fairly engaging...
"DeAr" falls short of its potential, especially in its treatment of female characters. While the premise offers an opportunity to delve into marital dynamics and challenges, the execution lacks depth...
Aishwarya Rajesh's talent is underutilized while she appears to be pale all the time end up as a loser while the chemistry b/w GV lacks coherence...
Gv's character is deliberately made pity while it lacks maturity and the transformation to accept the reality is ain't impactful...
But the dialogue portions that's meaningful and served at regular intervals comes to a handy rescue...
""Life is Full of surprises"
""A sense of understanding & getting to that place is marriage"
"However the bad day is it'll last only that day"
"Marriage is all about give & take"
"Accepting one's imperfections is what perfect marriage is"
Overall a must see movie to overcome or understand the value of relationship especially couples makes it a worthy enough to move on...
Yodha (2024)
Time lost is time gone...!!!
YODHA' is an absolute must-watch movie. With an amazing plot brimming with appreciable twists, this film keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The action scenes are impeccably crafted, adding a thrilling element to the narrative. What truly sets this movie apart is its refreshingly different plot, offering a unique experience unlike any other...
This is a movie carrying through a fast-paced screenplay don't expect much from the story because there are a lot of twists some are good, and some are just for the confusion. The film manages to surprise and keep you on the edge of your seat. Sagar Ambre has scripted the film apart from co-directing it with Pushkar Ojha...
The film is well-edited, so it stays the upgrade and never feels stretched. The cinematography is just good to see in fact the visuals are really splendid and makes the film lots of razzle and dazzle. The audio is crystal clear...
The movie much relies on Siddharth Malhotra's character leaves other cast members feeling underutilized and lacking in significance. The lack of weight given to supporting characters detracts from the overall impact of the story...
Despite its flaws, "Yodha" manages to redeem itself with a climactic finale that delivers on both action and emotion. Overall, while the film offers moments of excitement and thrills, its rushed narrative and lack of depth prevent it from reaching its full potential...
Overall a pucca commercial package that keeps you entertained & worthy of every bit of time or either money spent on it...
Rampage (2018)
The humor is on point...!!!
A typical hollywood movie which talks about trying to save the city from three mutated animals. This science fiction movie doesn't boast of great story yet it holds your interest if you like this genre...
The action sequences and VFX are top notch. The leads are good with the role bestowed to them. The background score is equally good or done as required. There is hardly anything to write about it just watch it if you like this genre and you will have good time pass otherwise it can be avoided.
If your looking for a good old action movie with a lot of chaos and destruction then this movie is for those...
Dwayne Johnson is a fairly decent lead actor for this kind of movie and he's well aware of what kind of movie he signed on for here. Even when the monsters aren't on screen, Dwayne Johnson manages to keep things entertaining long enough until it's time to shake things up with some cheap thrills...
Overall Rampage is a moderately entertaining movie that's serviceable to those looking for some cheap thrills or for having a giant monster movie marathon...
Crépuscule pour un tueur (2023)
Nobody has a normal life...!!!
This film is inspired by the life of Donald Lavoie, another hitman who marked the history of crime in Quebec (Canada) at the end of the 1970s...since the media of the time made him a star...
Director Raymond St-Jean chose to keep simple by avoiding any glamorization of a man initially endowed with charisma, whose fall was as abrupt as his rise was rapid within the underworld of southwest Montreal...
The filmmaker of course focuses on describing the murders in which Lavoie was involved - which he shows very dryly, without any commercial elements...
Éric Bruneau imposes himself in the role of Donald Lavoie by revealing both the implacable nature of a killer capable of coldly carrying out orders...
The story also takes a new direction when Inspector Roger Burns (Sylvain Marcel, impeccable) arrives in the scene, who will make Lavoie an informant...
Director however inspite of gangster movie keeps the hope of family value intact...Though the plot urges that power, respect & money comes afterwards..."A family is a family" at the end of the day making "A man life is so easy to take away" while it's evident that nobody has a normal life...
The film deftly combines real-life stories with fictional elements, maintaining a balance that keeps viewers on their toes throughout its runtime. The tension is palpable, woven seamlessly with moments of profound drama that underscore the personal stakes involved...
Overall this is one cinematic experience you don't want to miss...
Love Lies Bleeding (2024)
A movie that neither expands nor re-invents...!!!
This movie somehow plays to all of your senses to tell a story that's sexy, repulsive, beautiful, and gory all at the same time making us not to enjoy many of the incredibly, shockingly strong sensations getting from this movie, but that's the point...
It's a period piece of a sort, taking place in the early eighties. That's always fun. It has that soft, grainy look that makes it look older and more primitively filmed than it is, typical of many classic eighties movies, but that's mostly at the beginning. The focus gets sharper after awhile, matching the story itself coming into focus...
The movie is oddly refreshing. Surrealism done so well that it keeps double checking to make sure it was actually the movie and not just us going crazy one of those that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. You never know what's going to happen next and it surpasses your expectations completely...
The ending and one main element of it was disappointing adding a fantasy touch loses the battle ground but clearly intended to mean what it says is adorable...
Ed Harris just nailed it he his simply vulnerable ticking your senses often & making us uncomfortable...
Kristen Stewart was fabulous as usual with a vivid emotions strikes us from the very first frame...
Katy's performances appear as casual as they are intense, why her acting seems nearly like not acting is awesome and her physique appearance elevates the movie to a new level...
The amount of detailed sex scenes are just absurd & the steroids scenes were unrealistic...while the sound design carries the movie effortlessly...
The 104-minute film gives the feeling of walking on a carpet drenched in blood, guts and other unidentifiable elements. The effects of this experience are hard to wash off, and are not always pleasurable...
Laapataa Ladies (2023)
Never apologize for being dreamt...!!!
This simple yet heart touching movie is all about self discovery for women of rural India in the early 21st century...
Salute to each and every one who was part of this film, starting with Kiran Rao to Ram Sampath to every single actor - who has lived the movie, not acted. Not for a single moment you will feel that somebody is playing a part. It is just not a story, but the harsh reality of what happens in our world. We might as well be in 2024, but every single scene is still true in most parts of our country...
The characters are so realistic and endearing. Each dialogue nailing the truth of our society...
Ravi Kishen brings in a fresh breath of humour without having to sound or look artificial. You just have to look at him and you would burst out in laughter. But he is a superhero in the finale - we even clapped at that scene!!!
Sparsh as Deepak is so natural - confused and totally helpless at unable to find out where he 'lost' his wife. Nitanshi as Phool is as fresh as her name, sweet as her voice learning about the real world...yet with conviction that her husband would come for her. Pratibha as Pushpa(Jaya) ends up being the protagonist of the tale - while she uses the 'lost' opportunity to work for her, she is not without emotions - she bonds with her new family...
The whole album has only 4 songs and what wonderful lyrics - very apt to the scene in which they play - which enhances the story telling to a higher notch...As the movie ends one could feel everything is right in the world, having witnessed the victory of the suppressed and the happiness of everything fitted right in the small world of Deepak or be it jaya...
Climax of the movie is just to the next level and it touches your heart and you just feel every emotion of the character sitting on your seats. All and all this is a niche film and one of the best films content wise in the recent times , we definitely need to support films like this and watch it only in the theatre if possible...
Overall This movie reflects your own simple, natural and strong character in every frame. Heartiest congratulations to the entire team involved in making this movie...
Bhimaa (2024)
Harsha needs an admission in film institute...!!!
At a crucial time when Tollywood is moving towards new age & getting PAN India recognition at ease...Director Harsha is just converting his idea or making of sandalwood movies in tollywood remake where his lacklustre repeat of "BHAJRANGI" still haunts him...it's undigestable to see for any audience or even a cinema medium to bounce back to its commercial formulae and attain cheap thrills to just make money...
It's time for Harsha to go back to his graveyard & try to make some better movies to impress his set of audience who looks tiresome with his no-sense ideas...The cinematography and production values wave a little flag of decency in this desert of mediocrity, and while the songs might have you reaching for the mute button, the background score mercifully doesn't cope with the situation but does increase the decible to make you deaf & it's evident enough that Basrur is still in K. G. F mode while it's is mandate for every buffs to remind him that we cannot tolerate build up Bgm anymore...
With nothing to comment more watch it on your own risk...
What Happened to Monday (2017)
Seven minds are better than one...!!!
What Happened to Monday' is an entertaining sci-fi thriller that keeps you thrilled with its thrilling story embedded with action, drama, and suspense.
The story was simple and good, the screenplay was also good as you don't feel bored even with a simple story, the direction was good... The thrill and suspense elements were nice and keep you engaged till the end. Those who are trying to find the logic, need to know that this movie doesn't need any logic as it is purely for fun purposes.
It was clear this was a smaller budget film with big aspirations. It pulls it off fairly well, there is a lot of CGI and special effects and these come off well for the most part...
Noomi Rapace was excellent with her performance as each of the seven sisters...She is a gifted actress and she once again proves this. She offers each of her characters their own identity, personality, flaws, and strengths...
Most of the main characters develop personalities that can be related to & Glenn Close is great. Her character in this role is utterly evil...
There is also enough to the story to make one think seriously about the state of our planet and overpopulation...
The writers did a great job at creating a plausible dystopian future with oppressive laws and humanizing the victims of said laws. The deaths are creative and fit to each character's personality and conform to the world-building established in the beginning very well...
Also the morality of we "Human s will never learn" & " Success does not come without sacrifice & struggle" is highlighted with a effortless screenplay that uplifts the flick...
Overall don't miss out this rare hidden gem...
