Dios Me Libre (2011)
A very entertaining flick
This movie is a parody of the organization of most "heterodoxical" religions, which are subject of serious doubts regarding the origin of their financial leveraging.
Some stereotypes are well developed in the movie, in a funny way obviously. Take for example, the fact that the business coach of the new "prophet" is Brazilian (most Latin Americans would understand this detail or the reference that most orthodoxal believers are not tolerant towards other "new" religious sects.
This film, though a silly one, points out the main objections against new currents of religious thought.
Despite the foregoing, the story goes smoothly and lightly.
The Watch (2012)
Really entertaining!
I was a little bit biased by the previous negative comments related to the movie, but as I usually go to the theater to relax and not to look for a masterpiece, I finally watched it.
My conclusion: the film is really entertaining, since it is an obvious parody of what are portrayed as the main elements of any extraterrestrial Sci-Fi flick: (i)the characters that discover the E.T. presence in their city are not taken seriously, (ii) the aliens always choose a place as a "hidden" headquarters and (iii) the aliens have an unusual weakness.
You should see how such elements are developed in the movie and then you will be able to judge it.
A 7.0 rating works perfectly for me.
