This is the best Coming-of-Age-Chinese-American-Lesbian-Romantic-Comedy I have ever seen. Seriously, if you want to peer into the life of the contemporary Chinese American, this may be the most accurate film to do that with. The photography was as good looking as the lead actresses, and I was never bored with the slight plot twists. The comic timing of the editing and the acting is always right-on, and I would bet even the most conservative conservative would chuckle at some of the film's jokes. This is not a movie steeped in serious melodrama, though it does have its moments. I was pleasantly surprised that almost all of the jokes were clean and genuine, but viewer beware, there is a fairly graphic lesbian sex scene. It's pretty intense, not that there's anything wrong with that, just don't see it with your mom. The only thing disappointing was the seemingly hollow nature of the primary love story. I found it slightly unbelievable considering the main character's feelings for each other seem to rely on the fact that they're both hot hot hot. A very solid, well told romantic comedy that ends on only a very slightly clichéd note. Don't miss it if you have the chance, though!

I was fortunate enough to not have to pay to see this disaster. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. So as not to waste my time, I'll simply state that the review by shark-43 was pretty much dead on. I can't fathom why any self-respecting African American could put up with this trash--it takes every known stereotype about Black (and white) people and magnifies it by a power of 10, as well as creating new ones at times.

Possibly the worst part is that it isn't even funny like Undercover Brother, or similar movies of the same parody! It's just pure disgusting humor that shouldn't have ever made it onto film. If I could review lower than a 1, I would.
