Bud Spencer is turning in his grave
26 August 2022
At first I didn't even know, remake exists until it came to Netflix few days ago. As I am a big fan of legendary Spencer Hill duo, I was utterly shocked, what they did out of legendary original from 1974. Movie wants to be tribute to original, instead it became embarasement. There are no funny actors in this new movie, nu actualy funny scenes and idea recreating original scenes with original look-a-like supporting actors resulted in big fail. Story is the same as original, but new movie does not forget to remember us that with quasi reaperance of Ben and Kid (Spencer and Hill) at the beginning, not just in comic intro, but in movie itself.

The only bright point of that monstrum is Christian de Seca, who is a way bigger actor than whole movie itself and here his presence although flawless can't save anything of this unfortunate movie. Some things are better to stay unique, for shure and don't need tribute remakes.

Don't Look Up (2021)

Film of the year and decade
27 December 2021
In world gone mad with everyone able to talk, preach and play smart noone listens anymore. We are became hostage of zombi armada on social networks, which in normal circumstances, as joke says, would be locked in cellar not to embarase family in front of neighbours and others. Today, those people have internet access.

WIth other words, Don't look up is a brilliant mirror of what's wrong with society and people leading it (politicians, media, rich people...). It makes you think and rethink your actions, not to share any news on socials, and try to proove one wrong as it is fruitless. They don't even deserve attention.

And what's most important of DLU - it's not important if it is virus, earthquake od virus - the point is clear. So clear that my 14 years old daughter watched movie was astonished how well is done and even understandable to her age. It is not catastrophy movie, those who rate it 6 and under would have probably expected Armagedon or something silly like that. No, DLU is exceptional movie of catastrophy called human society. Hats off to crew!

Remembering greatness
19 November 2020
I was very happy watching reunion 30 years latter, because you could actualy see how actors grew up, mostly on personality level. Show was pristine, emotinal and most of all I am very happy that they included Janet Hubert, as all bad things parallel to that great show of 90s finaly disapeared...

Second worst movie ever
14 January 2020
I am very interested in history and that's why I checked this series...Not it is very inacurate, it is pathetic with dialogs and full of mistakes. When 80 and over old producer wants to make something in tribute to his country, better not. I understand that Croats had difficult times, but this depiction is idiotic, it makes all actors like idiots, though some great names, including Visnjic, are included (nevertheless, he's is producer's son in law, working for free).

It doesn't tell you anything about croat liberation in 90s, just some video slideshow with realy, again, pathetic dialogs and acting, making viewer to doubt in most events, included in movie. Second, it makes viewer feel like naive idiot. Actualy only in just one scene is worth mention, when croat soldier takes serbian soldier in wheelbarrow and they are talking about nonsense of war. All the rest...

Why second worst movie? Because it is so bad it can not even reach top spot!

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

Quite different level - fantastic!
4 May 2018
I started to train Karate in 80s just becasue of Karate Kid and karate influenced my life whole life since...Now, as KK 1-4 was sort of childish film, Cobra Kai makes different approach, with more developed characters and plot. And most of all, it shows al fears, frustrations of those guys, now when they are grown up. And there is another thing - it shows a great way, how Karate can improve people psihologicaly and emotonaly, kids and adults, of course. Of all actors only Morita (Miyagi) is absent and Martin Kove, but no need to get him in yet... :) I hope for many more seassons, because it has a lot to develop. It surely brings a lot of memories with 80s music also and with present, I stil do karate at my 43 and as in Cobra Kai, even my daughter (10) is on that greater than life philosophy and sport now. Hat off to creators of series, they make me proud of my path and proved that anybody can improve until the last days on earth.
