A truly superb post apocalyptic sci fi movie
15 March 2022
One of the best sci fi movies ever produced. The cast embodies the essence of normal rural folks, how they deal with an unfathomable situation.

The acting is top notch and captures the reality of rural life in a small french village last century.

It is very disturbing and illustrates how civilisation collapses without a social contract.

Ok movie up to the end...
7 March 2020
Ok movie if you are multitasking. The end had me disapointed and was very predictable. Many scenes made no sense whatsoever. TV series like Narcos tell a much better story in a much more eneterntaining way. The acting is very good and the stars cannot be faulted. It is simply that the story is very confusing with some key plotholes. The first 5 minutes are particularly excruciating and can be fast forwarded.

Retirement beckons

Mediocre predictable 7 prepubescent jokes, ridiculous political statements, lack of storyline, uninteresting content. There are so many better filmed Youtube programmes that combined travel, food, culture and funny presenters that this show just demonstrates how quickly the world is moving and how this is getting embarrassing.

To use a JC analogy, Grand Tour is the perfect programme to watch on a smartphone while taking a d***p.

It had so much potential....

Warning: Spoilers
Watch it and judge for yourself. There are some very worrying plot holes. The ending negates the entire storyline. Having said that, the acting is very good and touching, especially from Mr Fraggle Rock. Special effects are satisfactory. There are worse movies around.

Really good travel documentary overall. Excellent diary.

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this travel documentary. A fantastic trip with some wonderful scenery. The engagement with the locals is captivating. However it becomes apparent that they had not researched the effect heat would have on their lovely dog. My heart sank when I saw them walking the dog in Death Valley in the middle of the day. Walking a dog in the desert is dangerous for so many reasons, heat being the most obvious but ticks, snakes, scorpions are also a risk. Many US parks ban dogs, as they furthermore may disturb the local fauna. That aside, there are plenty of wonderful moments.
