Our Relations (1936)
Yawn
Not their best, but it sure beats "Hogan's Heroes" without "Kinch".
Fiend Without a Face (1958)
Difficult to get through
Sometimes it was too much to bare. The only thing to save it was the voluptuous Kim Parker.
Hogan's Heroes: The Pizza Parlor (1966)
Couldn't make it
Probably the worst Hogan's ever produced. Hans Conried deserved better.
Hogan's Heroes: The Ultimate Weapon (1968)
way out there !
This may be one of the worst-written episodes . Even Schultz as a military genius is a hard one to swallow .
The African Queen (1951)
a bit overdone
Don't know if Bogey deserved an Oscar for this. Many of his lines seemed deliberate and amateur. Kate doesn't help matters much.
Valley of the Dragons (1961)
big smile on my face !
I gave it two stars just because of its entertainment value . . . some real funny scenes with the reptiles . . .
Hogan's Heroes (1965)
I was SO young
Yeah, OK: a 5'2" Gestapo soldier . . . maybe I just thought it was funny at the time (?)
Atoll K (1950)
what a way to go
I WOULD have given this one star, but out of respect for their other great works like "Sons of the Desert" and "Way Out West", I felt sorry.
Niagara (1953)
overrated film noir
Good for a few laughs . . .Pretty bad acting but Marilyn holds her own
The Snake Pit (1948)
Medication Time
Great acting by Olivia deHavilland . . . drags a little sometimes . . . I think about 10 minutes is a rendition of "Goin' Home"
Platoon (1986)
Very Realistic
Was in 'Nam in 1970 . . . this is as close to the real thing as I've seen . . . . I think it's because Stone was there too
Inherit the Wind (1988)
Sickening
This may be the worst-produced TV movie ever. The actors seemed embarrassed. Spencer Tracy is spinning in his grave.
The Godfather Part III (1990)
it tries a little
There are a LOT of preposterous scenes which would not pass muster in I and II
A Place in the Sun (1951)
Not That Good
I think this movie could have been 20 minutes long if it weren't for the long, dead spots . . . non-speaking moments that were uncalled for . . .
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
Fantasy Land
You DO realize this is a movie, right ?
don't study it TOO deep . . .
The Third Man (1949)
just sit back and enjoy
Way ahead of its time . . . no use trying to analyze . . .
The Untouchables (1987)
Unbelievable
I know it's a movie, but I've never seen so many people shot and go on living
Papillon (2017)
give it a chance
Pretty good version of the McQueen/Hoffman classic . . .
House of Wax (1953)
Trish Addams is Spinning in her grave
Surely you can't be serious . . . . not close to a "Classic"
Sherman's Showcase (2019)
Guess ya had to be there
I think it's a great satire about "Soul Train", which I thought was hilarious in its hey-day . . .
The Deer Hunter (1978)
Full of Messages
A lot of unrealistic story-line about the War; for "realism" watch "Platoon"
The Out-of-Towners (1999)
not even close
I'm sure Jack Lemmon has got to be spinning in his grave !
LBJ (2016)
not for my tastes
It skips around a bit too much . . . I'd like to see something more in line . . .
M*A*S*H: Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler (1975)
Must - See
One of the top five episodes of MASH . . . Colonel Flagg's role is important . . .
Sons of the Desert (1933)
One of their best
I've seen it many times and still enjoy it . . . . several classic scenes . . . the Veterinarian's religion didn't make any difference . . .
