Narcoworld: Dope Stories (2019)
All In all it was alright if it wasn't for the over the top acting and camera shots and cheesy music.
You can tell most of them are paid actors to look tuff and say f the po, other scenes are real but very few. For a Netflix original drug show you'd think it would be more realistic but that's the most it was lacking. Wasn't amazing but wasn't awful. Would not buy it or watch it again being completely honest.
Narcoworld: Dope Stories: I'm a Law-Abiding Citizen (2019)
It was the second best out of 4
It was more cheesy but showed a good amount of people being interviewed and some people getting caught. All in all wasn't a horrible episode.
Narcoworld: Dope Stories: Bullet Against Bullet (2019)
One the best ones so far
This one was great for the most part it had its cheesy slow mo drug scenes and shaking coke at the screen, but it showed a lot more police hunting them down and investigating which is what I dig in drug tv shows. One of my favorites out of the 3. I'm starting the last one now so hopefully it beats this one!
Narcoworld: Dope Stories: Greed Is a Deadly Sin (2019)
This second episode is the worst out of the 1st two.
This one was even more cheesy and didn't really show any realism, just a guy in a car riding around with a purge mask saying yea adrenaline if you die you die cuz!!
Narcoworld: Dope Stories: It's Kill or Be Killed (2019)
Good idea, could have been better executed.
For a Netflix original in 2015, it was kinda weak, the extremely slow motion shots of drugs falling was pure cheese. Quiet a bit of over dramatic music was annoying and you can tel they just grabbed random dudes off the street and asked them to put on a mask and say screw the po po. Nonetheless some of the police/arresting scenes are what I believe to be real, and this first episode informs you on how they distribute it and make etc. This is the 1st episode so maybe it gets better but at the moment I give this episode a 5/10.
Her (2013)
The guy who hung out with the jackass crew made this movie, LET THAT SINK IN.
Wow. First off Spike, where have you been for the past 10 years? This movie was pure emotional gold. I've never cried and laughed as hard as I did during this roughly 120 minute film. Scarlett and Phoenix both have fantastic chemistry to the point where it looks as if we are just watching them fall in love in real life(documentary almost). This movie does not hold back on real emotions and if you are single or are in a tight spot in life right now, LOVE OF JACKASS/SPIKE WATCH IT. It will completely change the way you think of life for a while. Not a dull moment and need I say, the soundtrack is addicting as I listen to it every other couple of days. 10/10 no questions asked and bring a friend or 2 and 34 boxes of tissues and watch it.
Lights Out (2013)
Couldn't sleep for a couple of nights.
David, wow man!! For only being 3 minutes long it fills like a eternity as we follow a somewhat older woman just doing her thing. And from there it goes completely down hill instantly, Everything from the camera shots to the smart editing, this was terrifying and hard to look away at the same time. If I was to rate it I'd give it a 10/10 no questions asked considering all the garbage short films that happen and while sole come out good, lights out is any horror or movie geeks dream of getting the crap scared out of them for 3 beautifully horrifying minutes.
