Bluey: Baby Race (2020)
You're Doing Great
Yet again, the writers of Bluey knocked it out of the park with Baby Race! A heartfelt look back on something every parent has experienced, and a great reminder that it's not a race. One of my favorite episodes and one of the best in the season.
Bluey: Sleepytime (2020)
Best episode in the season!
Bluey frequently tugs at the heartstrings but this episode more than ever! Hands down one of the best episodes of the entire series! If you're not watching Bluey, you're missing out on one of the best shows on tv, kids show or otherwise!
Good Witch: The Wedding (2021)
Disappointing
Hallmark really cut corners for this series finale. Ruining storylines, rushing others, and multiple continuity errors. I know I'm not the only long time fan that was let down by this season and incredibly disappointed with this shambles of a finale. The storyline with the haloed moon and missing amulet was a little strange for the show, but I was willing to overlook it. But the plot was so full of holes it was difficult to follow. I didn't mind Joy's budding romance, but that storyline was rushed and didn't make sense to happen right in the middle of a Merriwick crisis. Not to mention the random coffee date with her ex Charlotte? This show doesn't do "random". What was the point of Abigail and Donovan spending SEASONS breaking the curse so they could be together only to break up in the final episode? So out of character for both of them and such an unsatisfying end to a couple everyone was rooting for. I'm glad Stephanie and Adam got back together, but their elopement was out of character for both of them. Not to mention the continuity error of spring/summer weather for their wedding on the boat, back to winter weather and coats at their reception. AND Cassie's hair going from blunt bangs, to no bangs, to grown out side bangs in what is supposed to be the span of a couple days. Lastly, for the entire season, Abigail and Joy had been struggling with situations that would require them to leave Middleton and their family. They made choices to stay. So then Abigail just leaves to move to Tuscany, Cassie and Sam decide to travel and Joy is left with running gray house? No, no, no. This rush job ruined the final season and the last episode was a joke. The fans of Good Witch deserved better, the characters deserved better endings.
The 2nd (2020)
Laughably bad (spoilers)
The trailer for this movie was better than the entire movie. Terrible acting, corny and badly written dialogue, plot holes abound. Predictable story? Check! Goofy kill shots? Check! Swordfighting? Check! I expected more from Ryan Phillippe. The only reason I gave it two stars was because of how enjoyable it was to make fun of it.
October Faction (2020)
A few kinks but overall enjoyable.
Whenever I see people complaining that a show is "too politically correct", what I'm hearing is that they are mad there aren't enough racist, homophobic, or sexist jokes. Ignore those reviews. There are some kinks that will need to be worked out before the next season. Some of the dialogue is clunky, the actors are still working on settling into their characters. But overall, it's an enjoyable, campy, "Supernatural-esque" show. It definitely feels more put together the further you get in the season. It's a great premise, I hope they work out some of the issues and come back with an even stronger second season.
