When I saw the first commercial for this show, my interest was piqued. I admit it, I've always been interested in this type of storyline. not exactly "feel good" subjects, but fascinating nonetheless. But then I remembered the network this show is on. It's not bad in and of itself, but when I look at The Secret Life of the American Teenager -- another show I thought had an intriguing plot but was ruined quickly with horrible acting and unrealistic story lines -- and I got a little bit leery.

I was mistaken, and I'm glad I was.

This series shows promise, like a previous reviewer said. The cast is great (I love Vanessa Marano and Lea Thompson, so right there I was sold). The premise is fascinating, and the acting is GOOD. I'm actually really surprised this wasn't pitched at a network/that a network didn't pick it up, because it has a lot of potential. I hope it stays this good.

I saw the midnight release of the film, sacrificing my sleep for the night. I rarely pay full price for movies anymore, instead opting for our town's dollar theater or our 2 main chain's cheaper times, but I paid full price for this one and I would do it again.

I was captivated from beginning to end. I won't go into too much detail about the plot or performances; many other reviewers have already done that, and I don't feel qualified as I'm not some kind of "movie buff." I will, however tell you that you won't be disappointed. Yates has managed to turn a very dark, twisty novel into a fabulous, dark and twisty adventure. You can feel the sense of urgency in this film. You get the idea that this is a mission with a deadline.

They cut it perfectly, too. Yates and the crew left us desperately wanting more and desiring to see the fate of the Potter world. I can't wait till next summer when I plan on sacrificing $10 and most of my night of sleep again to see it first.

This is a very emotionally sirring movie. THat's really all there is to it. THe people on FLight 93 were courageous in their efforts to keep their plane from destroying another building and killing more people. THe poster before me criticised the movie for being faulty in dialogue, effects, etc., but without any first-hand accounts to go on concerning what happened on the plane, I think this film was excellent. As far as the effects go, it's a TV movie... What do you expect?? I feel for all people who lost someone that day, not only on Flight 93, but also in New York and in Washington. I pray that this movie does the victims and their families justice.

OK, this movie is getting a lot of flak about the omission of details from the book. I had a hard time with it in the beginning, too. I didn't like how it skipped from the house to the Quidditch cup to the Hogwart's train. Plus there's the omission of Hermione's S.P.E.W. But that wasn't really a huge thing in the book that played into the plot, so I can understand why some of these details were left out.

The acting, however, was at its finest. In this movie, we now have 14 year old main characters, who are dealing with normal teenage issues like love, school, rumors, etc. The romantic tension between Ron and Hermione is well-played, and this movie shows Emma Watson at her best! Harry's anguish when dealing with his best friend's betrayal is impeccable, and his sorrow after the graveyard is heart breaking. Alan Rickman, as Snape, only had a few lines, but they say that actions speak louder than words, and if that is true, than he was superb! As for the people who say you should either read the book or go to see it with someone who has, I saw it with my boyfriend and 2 roommates; Jerome (the BF) and Jenny (one roomie) hadn't read the book and they followed perfectly. I can't wait to see it again!

I was very excited about this movie... I've read all three of the books and loved them... I watch Gilmore Girls (Alexis Bledel's show) and Joan of Arcadia (Amber Tamblyn's show) and I love America Fererra. So when I saw the cast of this movie, I was doubly excited.

The movie is not a disappointment to those who have read the books. A few minor, nit-picky details are left out (Lena and Bridget's siblings are missing, plus a few others), but it rolls along right with the first book! I wasn't expecting to cry as much as I did though... be warned that if you cry easily, Kleenex is a MUST. Overall, the story is fantastic, the casting is fantastic, and the delivery is fabulous!
