Hidden gem. Eerie setting, great acting, a few unexpected surprises. Great ending that doesn't go on for no reason. I was engaged from beginning to end.

A little strange.
30 March 2022
Some interesting points are made, but overall it was incredibly disjointed and disorienting.

I felt very confused (especially about the amount of magic?) but did learn some interesting things.

Topics: political discourse, memes, fringe groups, behavior of groups, Las Vegas, Light Workers

Wouldn't recommend as your most important watch of the night. The background music is too discordant to watch as a background watch. So I guess just save this if you're really bored and liked Feels Good Man.

Kevin Hart is AMAZING!
5 December 2021
Kevin Hart is an incredible actor.

I absolutely loved watching him play Kid, a well-to-do stand up comedian with a litany of problems.

As someone who always tries to predict where the plot will go while watching shows/movies, I was surprised at EVERY turn.

I wish I could erase memory and rewatch. If you want dark comedy, thrills, and shocks - watch this, you won't be disappointed.

Misses the Mark
5 December 2021
I watch dozens of shorts/documentaries. This one missed the mark.

I think of it more as beautifully (and heart wrenching) complied footage. It was emotional to watch.

However, there was little depth.

Little connection to these images.

I was disappointed, as there needs to be MORE coverage about the housing and humanitarian crisis in the United States.

I did appreciate the POV that any one of us could be next to be houseless, the juxtaposition between common tasks inside the home vs someone struggling to survive, the humanity of what brought on homelessness.

We must do better.

5 stars for an attempt at horror anthology.
26 August 2021
I'm always perplexed there aren't more shows like Black Mirror (horror anthology by episode, not season like AHS). Therefore, I was excited to see this.

Unfortunately, they're all very cheesy. The actors are simply not believable. Naughty List was the best plot--still executed horribly.

Good try, but we need more and better horror anthology.

The best documentary I've ever seen.
15 August 2021
This is an outstanding documentary about a 1970's prison NY incident (to say the least) that is informative, gripping, and emotional.

I had no idea this even happened. Unbelievable.

This documentary should be watched by all - Elizabeth Fink, all her allies, and those inmates deserve to have their story told. ACAB.

Didn't really enjoy this
14 August 2021
Love the subject matter, think it is incredibly important. This documentary felt so slow. I unfortunately was bored (probably because the conversion nuts are hard a chore to listen to) and almost cut it off multiple times. Worth the watch if you need a background doc, but I recommend reading up on conversion and its horrors to get a better picture.

Derek will take you on a journey. If you like questioning preconceived notions of identity, being, self, and labels -Please watch this without knowing ANYTHING about it. You will be left knowing more about who you are.

Filled a gap in sketch comedy.
27 April 2019
Warning: some of the jokes do not land. Sometimes you think "ok... interesting."

But, a majority of the sketches and jokes are very relatable and very funny. I laughed aloud at most.

I watched and enjoyed Key and Peele and Amy Schumer's sketch comedy shows; and I would compare this to those (without the stand-up), but slightly raunchier.

Unique.

Very unique and immediately pulls you in. The antagonistic stills makes us laugh. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
