I had only known Robert Strauss as one of the funny privates in the movie Stalag 17. I never knew that he had a starring role of his own in his own movie. The sad thing about this is that he died right at the time of the movies release. It's in black and white which adds even more dark contemplation to the mood! I recommend this singularly unique, unusually different film I've never seen its like before! Watch it!

As of late I've become increasingly sickened and disgusted with the entire Comic Book/Super Hero genre, ESPECIALLY the stomach-turning character and politically-correct narrative changes at Marvel, by the little SJW snowflake millennials now in charge of all aspects of writing, producing, directing and story boards! I'd reached the point of swearing off watching anything from either Marvel or DC, which has also been infected, albeit to a slightly lesser extent, with the leftist Virus which is simultaneously attacking all elements of American society, values and culture. Although this movie was released in 2017, I have avoided viewing it, and all other offerings from the cinematic super-hero world until just now (July 8th, 2018). I finally broke my promise to myself at the fervent behest of a dear friend who assured me that THIS movie would restore my faith and hope! Well, I'm here to tell you that, in my opinion, THIS movie is unarguably and without question the ABSOLUTE BEST I have seen-from EITHER brand!!! From the acting, to the plot line, characterizations, dramatic depth, and it's ability to draw the viewer in and deeply care....I cannot remember a movie of this genre with more going for it than this one!!! Gal Gadot was BORN to be Wonder Woman! The direction, editing, CGI and all other production values are off-the-charts STELLAR in quality!!! In terms of overall greatness, this leaves every single Marvel offering-including the entire Avenger-related and the pathetically pandering Black Panther "wanna-be" franchises IN THE DUST! I've given up on Marvel, but can only hope that more of the same will be forth-coming from DC!!!

"It SUCKS!"...It's DUMB!"...."Worst movie EVER!"......I'm more CONVINCED than ever, after reading the countless vacuous moronic "reviews" on this extraordinary, ground-breaking tour de force EXPERIENCE of a movie, that the movie "Idiocracy" is not only a serious documentary disguised as a comedy, but has in fact occurred 500 years EARLIER than expected, and we are living in the MIDDLE of it-NOW!!!!! How else to explain the mind-bogglingly LOW intelligence of some of the reviewers on here?!? The ability to recognize and appreciate true quality in anything, be it an outstanding cinematic achievement such as "A Quiet Place", or the true character and greatness of the man who currently resides in the Oval Office....quality and excellence in any form is beyond the grasp of a truly "DUMBED-DOWN" society socially engineered to be STUPID. I was enthralled with "A Quiet Place" from the opening sequence to the roll of the credits, and everything in between! To those of you who choose to mock this movie, and my high praise of it, heed the wisdom of Mark Twain, who said, " 'Tis better to speak naught, and be thought the FOOL, than to open ones mouth and remove ALL DOUBT!" SEE THIS MOVIE-but only if you have the brains to appreciate it!

Hollywood is dead...it exists in name only. It's carcass has been consumed by maggot larvae such as Rogen, Franco, and the likes of talentless, inane 'actors' such as those who made up the cast of the equally horrific "This is the End".....What passes for entertainment today would in an earlier era be banned, and those involved prosecuted for a whole slew of indecency law violations. The market for these 'films' are Millennials (Gen Wussers) who live in their parents basements,don't have drivers licenses, don't own cars or houses, run around playing Pokeman (?) on their cell phones like 6-year olds, want a Nanny Government to provide everything for them from cradle to grave without working, and generally have forsaken adulthood for permanent adolescence. This is a culture where blasphemy in all its forms is accepted-nay REQUIRED-in order to rank as entertainment; the sacred is now profane and the profane sacred. I'll leave a more detailed description of this rot for others with the insensitivity to view it completely.

I actually wanted to give this a 1.5, but there was no provision for doing so, and I couldn't bring myself, in good conscience, to round UP, so a 1 it is.

what to say about a film of this caliber? Well, let's speak of calibers for a moment. The larger the caliber, the more powerful, the more impact the round has. Now, .60 caliber-that is what a mini-gun fires...used by Arnold in Terminator 2, and by Jesse Ventura in Predator, these can cut down a 2' diameter TREE they're so powerful. Then there are the .44 caliber Magnum, ala Dirty Harry, and the only slightly smaller .357 magnum, both capable of " blowing' a mans head CLEAN OFF!" Then, in descending order, you have your .38s, .306s, and finally the pipsqueak of the bunch, the .22, the firepower, if you can call it that, of your typical Derringer.

What's my point, you're probably asking yourselves by now. Well, just this: if I were to assign a caliber rating to movies of this general type (Aliens, Sci-fi, etc., .60 caliber would go to, say, The

Avengers. Little argument there! Then, the "Alien" series, .44 magnum; Predator, .357 mag,and so on...... .

Seriously, now, what caliber rating does a 'production like "Alien Origins" deserve? A .22? Hardly. I think we may have to drop way, way down into the Cap Gun range for THIS abysmal smeller of a flick. Yes, I know, I took the long way to this conclusion, but I didn't make the 10-line minimum rule for reviews!!!!!!! Just forgot to count 'em, is all!!! In summation: Honestly, the ONLY reason movies like this are made are for TAX SHELTER and WRITE-OFF purposes! Certainly not worth wasting more than 2 hours of my allotted life expectancy on! What was I thinking?! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME VIEWING THIS. (THAT IS my summation!)

I'm tempted to go into great analytical detail over this Pierce Brosnan/Liam Neeson cinematic tour de force, but since my purpose for writing this particular review is to get you, dear reader, to WATCH this, I fear that my limited writing skills could quite possibly have the opposite effect...so I will simply state this: a typical Western THIS IS NOT. When the credits finally rolled, I so emotionally shaken, I sobbed for a full minute. I connected with the two main characters in a way I have NEVER done with ANY movie before this, and viewing it was a therapeutic, cauterizing experience for me that has opened my eyes to....but I've said too much already! PLEASE-Watch this. It could be just what YOU need to see, too!
