The Owl House (2020)
It's alright, nothing special
If you're looking for something like Gravity Falls, you better keep looking. Animation is okay, the out of focus background doesn't suit this animation style. As for the story, first season was 95% filler with few good moments. The actual story progressed a bit in the last two episodes. There are some funny moments, but nothing to write home about. My favorite character is Hooty, absolutely love him! Others not so much. Then there's Disney's signature trope of LGBT, which explains all the 10/10 reviews. Overall it's not worth the time, it's a below par show. Won't be watching next season. Ciao!
Harley Quinn (2019)
A Very Dark Comedy
I know this show is all about a villain but some of the episodes have very very disturbing scenes even for a dark comedy. Innocents are killed and the bad guys get away with it like it's nothing. I just can't believe how this stuff gets past censorship(if there is any) or even planning phase. As with most of the shows these days, there's also political correctness although a bit mild.
Barring a few episodes, the rest are really funny showing us Harley's transformation from Joker's lackey to an independent villain. I especially enjoyed the parts where Harley builds up her own team.
I hope they could tone down the dark humor a bit, this show has the potential to become a really good show for all audiences! As for the people with good moral compass, this show is definitely not for you(at least for now).
Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island (2019)
Very Very Average Sequel
Pros:
-Good animation
-A few funny moments
-No political correctness, virtue signalling
Cons:
-Bad story
-Disappointing antagonists
-Unnecessarily stretched to make a 80 min movie
Bottom line:
Only watch it if you are a Scooby-Doo fan and have some time to spare.
Batman: Bad Blood (2016)
For people 'not getting' Talia al Ghul's character
If you've really watched Son Of Batman(2014) you will know that after Talia gets seriously injured, Batman heals her in the almighty Lazarus Pit. And of course Lazarus Pit doesn't come without 'side effects'. Using Lazarus Pit makes a person very aggressive(among many other things), this changed Talia's personality from caring to murderous considering she was already very hostile towards everyone except Damian and Bruce.
As for the movie, it's alright. It has really good animation, okay story and great action! And watching Bat family fight together to save Batman was great.
Overall it's a decent film.
Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost (2019)
RIP Fred Jones 1969-2019
They absolutely ruined Fred in this. It all began with Shaggy's Showdown(2017) and here they absolutely murdered his character. For these new pseudo liberal writers, writing a strong woman means destroying a male character. FRED WENT CHEERLEADING?? REALLY!!?? As for the movie, it's garbage. Loved Shaggy & Scooby hence the 2 stars.
