Cinderella (2021)
Surprisingly enjoyed this!
I had no want to watch this but actually enjoyed it. It was put on for background noise but i actually paid more attention then expected. Reminds me of the goofy early 2000s movies. I liked all the cute little banter the characters had. The costume design and set design was beautifully done. The music was quite well done. I find that most musicals that have all original songs they tend to have filler for most of them and a couple of stronger songs. This movie only had a couple original songs. The original songs were strong enough to hold up, but the use of already famous songs made every song more enjoyable. Definitely had its ridiculous parts but i felt like it was intentional enough that it was okay. I hate all the remakes that change nothing and just rehash the same exact story. They changed the story which im sure upset people but it was nice to not feel like im just watching the same old story, to not know whats going to happen next. I enjoyed that they changed things and made it its own. They had fun with it and I had fun watching it.
No Hard Feelings (2023)
Loved it
I was excited to watch this movie and it delivered exactly what i wanted. I was worried the humor would be to over the top that it could be obnoxious, that they would make easy bad jokes. But the writing and delivery the was so good. The humor was smart and there was so much subtle clever little jokes. Im not a person to laugh out loud but this movie had me and much of the theater laughing outloud. Jennifer Lawrence in a comedy like this is so perfect. It felt like a modern raunchy comedy. It was fun without having to degrade people or just making cheap dirty jokes. Definitely excited to watch it again when it comes out.
Turning Red (2022)
Really took me back.
As someone who was once a 13 year old girl the nostalgia was real. I feel like it represented that time in my life very well. And the mother daughter relationship was incredibly relevant. I may have cryed during the entire end.
Chick Fight (2020)
I had fun
I think people take things way too seriously and need to learn how to just enjoy things. Like its not an award winning movie, and i honestly had some low expectations. But it was fun and made me want to fight someone so thats cool.
Tacoma FD (2019)
Love this show!!
I think this is probably one of my favorite tv shows right now. Im a fan of the super trooper movies and beerfest, but i felt like this had a slightly different vibe. I find it weirdly wholesome. I particularly loved the character of Lucy. Im a girl and i feel like they wrote her really well. It was nice to see a girl broing out like this on tv.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Really enjoyed it.
I put this on honestly to have background noise while i sit on my phone.....and then didn't look at my phone at all. I was pretty entertained by the whole thing. It was quite fun, didn't take itself too seriously while still having some deeper themes. It was a good journey through Enola finding out who she is and navigating the world of the time as a woman. While having themes that translate into our current society.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
Loved it.
Really loved this movie. I thought it was going to be very silly but it also hit the emotional aspects quite well. I teared up on some parts. The music was also suprisingly really good. I've definitely been listening to it alot after watching the movie. Their final song is especially powerful.
I watched the movie 2 nights in a row because i was showing a friend and was still just as into it. Itll probably be something i watch alot. Over all the movie was very fun. The acting was good. Its well rounded with the story line, the humor, the emotions, and the cinematography/aesthetic.
Ready or Not (2019)
Definitely a new favorite
Loved this movie, it will definitely be on my favorites list for a while! Great blend of horror comedy. It was fun but still sold the story line quite well. Loved Samara Weavings acting in it, definitely nailed the role. Even with the humor of the movie she definitely sold the scared and angry aspects. I found the pace and plot were all well done and i honestly don't really have anything bad to say about it. It was quite enjoyable and im looking forward to a rewatch.
Villains (2019)
It was a weirdly fun movie.
I really enjoyed it. I thought it was weirdly fun. I really appreciated the aesthetic of the movie. The set design, lighting, and shots were all well done. I liked the contrast of the darker story line with the light 70s aesthetic and the two lead characters fun personalities. I really enjoyed Bill Skarsgard and Maika Monroes acting. It was neat to see Skarsgard play such an up beat character as im use to his more serious stuff and he did it well.
Dark Waters (2019)
Great powerful movie
Great movie. It was very serious but i found it engaging the whole time. It makes you think about the world around us, the large corporations that are everywhere in it and the possible coruption that goes on with them. Its a powerful story that literally effects all of us. It definitely makes me think about all the stuff we surround ourselves with.
Everyone should watch it.
Charlie's Angels (2019)
Woops, i enjoyed it.
I actualy liked it. I feel like reading these reviews, its alot of people that took it very seriously. I thought it was fun. There was a couple... i guess semi cringey moments, but I'm not really hung up on it. I'll be honest i enjoyed it. I feel like they wanted to have fun with it. If you wanna see it maybe just go in with an open mind not trying to pick it apart, if you're picky then it may not be for you.
