Dark (2017)
Who is Who? / CROSSED THE LINE!
I am perfectly used to the fact, that in any series it takes time, and 2 or 3 episodes to get to know all the characters, their connections, conflicts, interactions.
I would like to ask you opinion; whether it is only my problem, or anybody else having the same confusion.
After the 7th episode I know less who is who than at the beginning of the show...
I have to confess, that I always had troubles with German names, and I am watching it in original German with Hungarian subtitles (my mother language).
I have been watching a lot of series, and yes, it happens, that I am confused with the characters. Probably more, than others.
But in case of this show, I am lost completely.
Anybody else? :)
But there is one more much important thing.
!!!SPOILER!!!
Hurting/murdering animals and children is a strong taboo for me in every genre!
Even in horror movies children are never involved in such situtation like in this series.
That is unforgivable for me, quitted watching...
Westworld: Journey into Night (2018)
I had enough...
Counting all together the first season's 10 episodes, and the second season's 2 episodes, I have been waiting for the original "Westworld" movie atmosphere.
Did I get it?
Nope!
Probably, some "stand alone" movies are not transformable to TV series, and vice versa.
But in the case of "Westworld" I guess it's only one component of failing...
The story is messed up big time.
Way too many pointless killings - even if you know they are "only robots".
I think it's not spoiler, but every viewer is aware that the story "can not go out" from the Theme Park. I mean, in some obscure content we can guess that it's the "robots' " main aim, but we surely know it's never gonna happen.
Why should it happen?
I am deeply fed up with the philosophical but meaningless quotes of the "Man in Black Hat".
So I reached the point after S02E02 to give up.
That's my tase, my decision.
I knew in the beginning that I would miss Yul Brynner' character. But I was not aware, that I would miss him this badly...
Sorry.
Blindspot (2015)
Only without any living brain cell...
This show is only for the audience, who wether do not have any working brain cell, or looks for a mazochistic enjoyment, when the producers treat them as complete idiots.
I have never ever witnessed so fake of a story with so fake characters. Ever!
It is actually scares me, that this series could be that popular. It alerts me, that maybe so many of us this stupid? Than all is lost for mankind for sure!
I admit that I am a mazochist myself as well.
I am not judging it from one or two episodes. I could bear watching it until the 5th episode of season 3.
Why?
I'll be honest; the leading role actress Jane Doe is very attractive. :)
One and only positive thing to mention.
Well, season 2 gave a little hope.
But season 3?
It's pure torture.
This could be used very effeciently for CIA to interrogate terrorists - only by making them watch it without any break.
I would admit any crime I've never even thought about if I were continue watching it for one minute longer...

Fagyott május (2017)
Huge disappointment...
Dear Mr. Lichter!
I would like to apologize in advance, because I will not write about the artistic values of the movie. It is a subjective matter, let's everyone decide whether it is good or not.
I would like to mention two issues.
I am deeply shocked - even it was mentioned on the cinema's webpage - that a Hungarian movie can be played in a Budapest cinema in English language - without any Hungarian subtitle! Regarding the level of my English language knowledge - as I can write this review as well - I could understand everything. Taking into account the limits of my mental capabilities - but that is also my own problem.
But I find it extremely selfish, arrogant, "l'art pour l'art", and excluding point of view, that a Hungarian artistic product can only be watched in Budapest in English language! Personally, I would take this case to the proper Media Authority forum as well. The only thing that stops me, that there is no huge loss for the "only" Hungarian speaking audience, who's being excluded from viewing this movie. On the contrary...
My other issue.
!!!SPOILER!!!
The movie's central "character" is an old computer. Even it is a spoiler already, I don't want to mention it's type. As a child of the '80s, I was grown up with this machine. So... For God's sake! If you would like to highlight it as a certain type of computer, why put in our face a PC?! Even if it as old one, yes, but it is still a PC. It has nothing in common with "That" certain computer.
The other thing about it was almost painful. If you present Basic program language syntax on the cinema screen, PLEASE try to be at least a little more accurate! Believe me, as I am in my early '40s, there are some "old folks" as well living, who could have helped writing that ONE LINE syntax properly...
And last but not least. The disk shown in the movie had never been any connection and compatibility with that certain kind of computer...
In a minimalist movie like this, this small details matter, very much! And if they are that wrong, they can be painful.
I wish you best of luck and success for the movie, and for your future productions as well!
The 100: Wanheda: Part 1 (2016)
Lost between season 2 and 3..
Hi everyone!
I am just curious; am I the only one who lost most of the storyline between season 2 and 3? Do I have mental problems? Please, be honest with me! :)
- Ice Nation? (Where did they come from) - City of Light (Is it real, or just imaginary?) - How did Lexa contacted with the Ice Nation?
Did I miss one (or some?) episodes...?
I remember very clearly the ending of season 2, and somehow it appeared to me at the beginning of season 3, that I missed a complete season... :-/
Diablo (2015)
Evil Josey Wales
Without spoiling the plot, this movie is obviously the evil verison of Clint Eastwood's classic "The Outlaw Josey Wales".
This movie is about revange also, just like the 'original' one.
But this is a revange of Scott on his father!
Am I by far not as talented as you? Am I by far not as handsome as you? Am I by far not having charizma at all?
O.K., than: I destroy one of your most famous character!
It's in a way sad, in a way pathetic...
Sad, because it could be very frustrating to be Clint Eastwood's son as an actor, and also choosing "wannabe" Eastwood characters.
I understand Scott's feelings, but he is not and never will reach the footsteps of his father...
In this situation you'd better chose a completely different profession. Just like Clint's other son, Kyle did. Clint is also a talented jazz musician, but Kyle is obviously way better in what he is doing. My other example is David Bowie's son, Duncan Jones, the director or 'The Moon'.
I wish you all the best Scott, but please at least let go your father's characters for God's sake...
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Please Help! :-/
I am so frustrated! I can't explain myself these good ratings of this movie! I can say I am well trained on hardcore horror movies, but I could bare only 20 some minutes of this film.
It was so disgusting, so brutal, and so meaningless...
I literally went out of the cinema after 20 minutes. :-/
And I can say that horror movies not affecting me at all, these 20 minutes burnt into my mind, and I just hope I could forget it somehow...
How is it possible?
Is the problem with me...? :(
American Sniper (2014)
Shame...
I am really sorry to say, but this movie is a shame for Mr. Eastwood and to his directing career. Saying it like he is my favorite actor and director in the last 20 years. I have seen all of his movies, and I never thought I will have to write anything close to this.
Let just stay at his works about interpreting wars - of course, U.S. involved wars. He is a U.S. patriot, and there is nothing wrong with that, in contrary!
The movies: Flags of our fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Gran Torino...
They show heroes and respecting the enemies, with a perfect balance.
Gran Torino is one of the best movies in the history of cinema about the subject, how a stubborn, redneck, "killthemall" veteran can realize that yes, his long time enemies are also not just "sandbags", but living and lovable human people.
American sniper... fails to do this. But it also fails to be a movie, in every aspect. We got to know a flat, boring character of Kyle, who has nothing to do with heroism, he is light years away from it. The story - there is no such thing in the 135 minutes. It's a documentary about a soldier's 4 Iraqi missions, without any character development.
But my greatest problem of all: Representing a soldier as a hero, who's risking their fellow soldiers' life for a stupid duel with the Iraqi sniper - it's a quilt in my eyes! This act deserves punishment by court Marshall! Showing this fact to the young generations as a heroic act, shameful and stomach turning...
Mr. Eastwood, please apologize! I am, and I will be your fan, no matter what, except one thing:
I have to forget that this movie has ever existed!
