The Lion King remake is just like my life, a huge disappointment. This remake adds nothing new and fails to capture the magic of the original, it is but a hollow shell of its former self, like my receding hairline. New music was unnecessarily added, which just prolonged a mediocre, rather boring movie, much like my waistline did to my looks.

Unintentionally hilarious

Interesting story that highlights how inept and out of touch police is with reality. It also shows how self-righteous and grandiose they are. I'm not sure if this was on purpose, but it is the most realistic detective show I've ever seen. (I'm only at episode 6 though, so not sure if this will remain true for the remainder of the show. I'll update this review as soon as I'm done with this season.)
The Green Inferno
(2013)
Perfect analogy of modern day activism.

Warning: Spoilers
A bunch of idiots go protesting in a foreign country which they know nothing about and get killed. Somehow, one of them survives and then lies about what happened 'for the cause.'
Alejandro is the perfect analogy for modern day Western activism. Full of himself, has alterior motives, entire cause is based on lies and entitlement, and it was completely pointless at the end. Why Justine decided to lie upon rescue, validating Alejandro's stupid ideology, and glorifying the cannibals who killed her friends is beyond me. Sure, you can make the claim that she is punishing the company who setup the entire plot to get rid of the competition, but is that really more important than informing the world of a radical cannibal group of savages, who were also attempting to perform FGM, and instead lie and make people believe they are a peaceful people?

Cannibal Holocaust
(1980)
Great movie spoiled by unnecessary (real) animal cruelty
9 September 2019
This movie could have easily been a 9 or a 10 because it is truly a disturbing masterpiece and really makes you think about what we consider civilized. The reason I'm rating it so low is that it is ridiculous that the animal slaughters were done using live animals, (7 animals were killed in the making of this video, though only 6 are shown) which was completely unnecessary as they clearly had the skills to depict realistic murder/slaughter/rape/gore scenes as shown by all the gruesome events featuring humans. The only good thing to come out of this is that very few movies afterwards ever used real animals becausr of all the backlash this one received.
It Comes at Night

This is a drama
30 August 2019
This is a decent drama, but what annoyed me about it, and it seems a lot of other reviewers agree, is that it is labeled and was marketed as a horror movie. As a horror movie it fails miserably, and I would have given it a 4/10. The story is also filled with plotholes and has a very mediocre conclusion, thus making it a mediocre drama at best. The only reason I'm rating this 5/10 is because the acting is actually quite good.
The forced politics ruined a stupid show.

This show has always had poor writing and countless plotholes, but it was always just a stupid fun slasher. Now it's got all these delusional liberal propaganda nonsense, and that's just based on the 1st episode of the 3rd season. But this nauseating political nonsense is just par for the course for Netflix originals.

The Resistance Banker

From a time when resistance actually meant something.

Great story, great acting, great pace. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't know about the great people this movie is dedicated to, but this film does a great job of introducing me to this interesting part of history that shows what it takes to trully resist tyranny. Echt een fantastische film!
The Comedy Lineup

Sitting in traffic is more entertaining.

None of these activists are even remotely funny. I literally sat through this trite because Netflix kept recommending it. Maybe if they hadn't removed the suberb star-rating system they'd know I don't like 'woke' whining disguised as comedy without the jokes.
Fear the Walking Dead

As exiting as the Atari game E.T.

The reason I gave this a 5 is simply because I'm a zombie fanboy, so that counts for about 3 of the 5 points. The writing, acting, directing, and pretty much every other aspect of this show is just terrible.
Here you will find the most illogical, dumb characters ever written for a story, and they are completely unlikable. Whether a good or bad character dies, it does not matter, you wouldn't care either way. Matter of fact, this show would be more interesting if it was just zombies roaming around doing nothing.
