Amazing
8 September 2017
This is one of the most intelligent animations that I have ever seen. It is amazing that it is still relevant and futuristic 20 years later. The level of detail in the animation is exceptional. I will have to watch it a few times to appreciate all of the cinematography. The depth of the blurring between human thought, genetics, Cyber enhancement, computers, networking, AI, and the germ of being is still relevant today.

Uncle Grandpa (2010–2017)

Horrible Show. Don't even try to compare to Adventure Time
25 August 2015
There is no way that a clip art rainbow farting tiger, a pizza, swamp thing, a talking fannypack, and a head cameo randomly thrown together come anywhere close to Adventure Time. Not even a bit close.

Adventure time plays on so many intellectual dimensions like: 1) Evergreen's unintentional legacy to Gunther and the making of Ice King 2) Prismo's representation of metaphysics 3) The Mountain (of Matthew) and psycology of Jake and Lemon Drop

If you compare this to Adventure Time, you don't get it.

Uncle Grandpa is total crap.

CN should bring back classics like Daria before airing this weak random content.

Garfield: His 9 Lives (1988 TV Movie)

Creepy
11 May 2013
I thought it would be a cute Garfield flashback from the 80s. 2 segments are not animated in the same genre as Garfield. One is OK where Garfield is a female cat who lives its life with a piano playing girl. The cat later grows old and dies which was a bit heavy for the kids but fine. The 7th life "Garfield" is Creepy. He a lab cat but the animation is more like a moonlighting Disney animator (per Jungle Book features) and the story is dark. The non-Garfield is in a military lab being injected with serum that genetically alters him into a dog. He later escapes and is chased by the military. Creepy lab scenes for kids.

Not even good enough for an in flight movie
4 October 2012
Slow story, whiny characters, irritating boomer reactions, weirdo gypsy, and rednecks. I started to read the in-flight magazine instead. The beginning is slow and when you hope for more momentum, it starts to get annoying with petty bickering over obvious topics. The attempt at humor showing displaced urban boomers as completely inept in the great outdoors is hard to watch.

It further deteriorated to the point where I found myself thinking what the !?! is this and unplugged the headphones. I enjoyed silence for the rest of the 3 hour flight. I wish that I had the Harbor Freight tool catalog that rubitony had. Menopause Melodrama gets my vote for title.

I will say that Freeway the dog did a great job. He was right on cue and did not overact.
