Whatever moron wrote the "contrived hokum" post should remove it. He has no appreciation for this show, and only made it through 1 1/2 episodes. How can you write an honest review of a show when you don't even watch it. Everest is not a show about heroes, so I don't why this guy thought it was. It's a show on how any ordinary person can try to climb the greatest mountain in the world, even though most fail. The show does a great job of giving an absolute ton of credit to the Sherpas and all of their hard work. And no, this is nothing like jumping in the back of a truck or whatever that idiot had to say. These climbers still must physically climb the mountain. They hike in freezing temperatures with hardly any oxygen for countless hours. Hardly a walk in the park. This show is about 1/2 mountain climbing and 1/2 learning the personalities of the climbers. I don't miss a show.

I was not expecting "Rocky Balboa" to be as good as it was, I'm glad I was wrong. After the original "Rocky" movie, this would finish a close #2. This movie really reminded me of the original. "Rocky Balboa" is not an action/fight movie, so if you're looking for a lot of action, you won't get it until the fight at the end. This is a great Sports Drama film. This movie devotes a good amount of time to character development and gets this by looking into Rocky's past and to what matters most to him. If this is the last of the Rocky movies, this is a great way to go out. This is a must see movie for Rocky fans. If you have never seen a Rocky movie, I would not recommend this one as being your first. You really need to watch the other movies so you know the history going into this one. Overall, this is a great movie that I will definitely watch again.

This movie had a ton of promise and didn't fulfill. The beginning was slow, the end extremely predictable and in between was a sleeper. The previews for this movie make it look good, so good in fact that I took time out of my life that I will never get back. If you really want to see a good 2 hour movie, play the trailer about 50 times. The acting was decent, but the story completely falls apart. I won't tell you what happens, you will be able to easily figure that out on your own. This movie will leave you hanging. It is way too predictable, there is no part that is scary or suspenseful at all. Do yourself a favor. Keep your money.
