Cute film

I watched this repeatedly as a kid and caught it on the movie channel just recently. I enjoyed it just as much as back then. Yes it's a kids movie that seems to have been forgotten, what a shame! Thora Birch was perfect for the role. She plays a young girl who wants a pet but denied by her mom and step-dad (he's allergic to animal fur), who is played by Christopher McDonald. A face that brings you right back to the 90s for sure. Out of luck, a little monkey finds Eva (Thora Birch) as he has ran away from his abusive owner. She takes him in as her pet but as a secret and names him Dodger, she soon finds Dodger is a lot of work and comes with some some bad behaviour that causes her trouble. If you have kids or are a 90s kid I recommend it. It's fun, lighthearted and feels like summer.

yes and no

I don't really know how to describe how I felt after watching this. It was a dark, heavy depressing film, one that you watch once and never again. A lot of the dialogue was cliche and boring, the gay character, anti-religion, blah been done. There was never any stand out lines that made me feel anything that I have not heard before. The ending was emotional, made me cry just because family relationships are complicated and can be ugly and he wanted that connection with his daughter. I didn't care for any of the characters but Brendan's and Ellie even though she was mean as hell. The Morman kid, bleh, caretaker, didn't like her neither. I found the main characters physical ailment bothersome, struggling to breathe, I can't stand watching suffering. So yeah would not watch this again.

you're my buddy...

This movie was better than the last few Chucky movies put out. It's not a comedy but sure made me laugh, the voice, facial expressions of the doll are hilarious. This Chucky is more like a robot gone bad whereas the original Chucky is a serial killer trapped in a doll. He doesn't know the bad things he does are bad, he thinks he is helping to keep his friend (Andy) happy. That's all he wants and for Andy to be his best buddy. I would recommend it on a rainy day
