Stage Mother (2020)
Amazing.
It's better than you think it will be, it is not a heavy movie, it carefully weaves comedy and drama in a gentle way, and the grand finale is so unexpected that if it doesn't make you cry, you're dead inside. Actress Jackie Weaver plays a small town mother-you-wish-you-had to a cast of beautiful but slightly lost characters in serious need of real love. The movie is actually filmed in Canada, but it is set in San Francisco and Texas.

Bad Boy (2018)
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Quite possibly the greatest sitcom of all time. Like FRASIER on coke. Constant hilarity, machine gun jokes, dazzlingly imaginative and downright insane! And of course, a whole lot of sexiness. If you aren't madly in love with BAD BOY, you have to be mentally defective.
Ghost Whisperer (2005)
MASTERPIECE TV
I did not discover this show until its fourth season but I was instantly addicted. I am NOT a horror fan, but I have always had a thing for that spook factor... psychologically scary - not blood, guts and gore. This show was everything a good ghost story should be with a truly perfect cast. I really wish it had lasted longer. Here's hoping it comes back again some day.
Between Love & Goodbye (2008)
Heartbreaking Tragedy
Although Amazon Prime lists this movie as a comedy, it most certainly is not and there is not a single humorous thing about it. It is a ruthless demonstration of the disastrous results that happen when a bonded couple in love allows another person, secrets and excuses, to put a wedge between them. When two people have mated for life, NO ONE can be allowed get in the way of it - not parents, not siblings, not friends.
Rent: Live (2019)
EXACTLY the way RENT should have been all along
FIRST of all, this entire show was live, just most of it was recorded live the night before. If you're watching it on TV, what the heck is the difference! If they hadn't mentioned it, no one would have known it was prerecorded.
And while other jaded Rent heads commit the ultimate theater sin of pitting one cast against another (no cast of a production will ever be better than the first one you saw because that's the cast that made you love the show), THIS production is precisely the way I always thought the show should be, and quite frankly I never thought most of the original cast was right for the parts... Idina should have played Maureen, not Mimi, for example. This is BY FAR the best cast EVER. The only real problem with this production with the cheering of the audience which totally drowned out some parts, including Angel's entire song about killing the dog - but you know what, any Renthead would already know what was being said anyway. And though nearly all of the cast were fantastic singers - this 'Tango Maureen' & 'Out Tonight' totally ROCKED (I got a total man crush on Jordan Fisher) - I did not mind at all the occasional rough notes and off keys - THAT'S REALISM. Go buy the studio album if you want pitch perfect. Seriously, people, get over it.
I just wish I knew where to buy a copy of this on DVD. I recorded it with DVR when it aired, but there was a nasty storm which knocked out the signal for the first 15 minutes.
