This movie just ended up agitating me. I had no idea what these people are on about. I usually like Gosling, but I couldn't figure out what he was doing; he's dumb, he's smart, he's high, he's getting blown up again, etc, etc. Blunt provides her usual tics and too-cool attitude, while Waddingham retains her title as one of the most annoying actresses going around.
The stunts are good, the plot paper thin and the movie references plentiful. Gosling is a stuntman who has to find his ex-girlfriend director's missing movie star played by the quite-good Taylor-Johnson. Or some such silliness. Oh and apparently Lee Majors is in this, but for the life of me, I couldn't see him.
Has some enjoyable moments, but it is nowhere near as funny or smart as it thinks it is. I must be getting old and cranky, but I definitely starting to become impatient with some of the twaddle being released nowadays. 5/10.
