The Girl Next Door (2004)
A feel good comedy worth watching!
If you want to flop down in front of the TV with a tall glass of cola and a bowl of pop corn to watch a movie purely for the sake of entertainment, this one will definitely not disappoint. However, if you're a recluce who thinks you've become so intellectual that everything you watch has to have some kind of life lesson or address some kind if social "illness", then stay away.
Being out of school for as long as I went there, this movie brought back fond memories of days gone by and boyhood dreams and fantasies. With a laugh a minute (although sometimes crude), this was a "feel good" movie with great entertainment value as I felt totally relaxed after watching it.
The fact that the super hot Elisha Cuthbert starred in it certainly didn't ruin the movie either...

Surprise of the Month - Got to get this DVD
I'm a huge movie fan and watch at least 3 movies a week, either on circuit or rental.
Recently, I stumbled upon this movie when there was nothing else I knew at the video store and decided to check it out. Wow, what a surprise!
Unlike most other movies in the genre this had quite a unique story line and a twist which you don't expect until the final few scenes. It failed to be really scary but then again, when was the last time you saw a really scary movie?
The humor was awesome and I really laughed a lot. Being a DJ most of my life, I especially liked a joke during a scene which takes place at a party. This brings me to the music: Great choices of music that's all I can say...
The acting was well done and by quite attractive actors if I may add.
Overall the movie was definitely worth watching. This DVD will be added to my private collection shortly!
Aa! Megamisama! The Movie (2000)
Earns its place among my top 5 Anime Movies
I bought this DVD because I recognised the picture on the cover from an image in a 3D modeling competition.
At first, I thought I had bought myself a dud as the story starts off quite slowly. But then the plot thickens as the story starts to unfold.
It's difficult to place this movie under a singular genre as it contains a little of everything. The characters (even the more background ones) were developed well and one gets drawn in by both the main characters and the story line. I did not manage to guess what the ending would bring, up to the last few scenes. The music is emotional and lovely. The animation is brilliant and what's truly striking is the attention to detail the artists put into this movie. I cannot say a single bad thing about it.
This is a must see!!!!! Definitely worth buying the DVD.
