Within These Walls (2001 TV Movie)
7/10
another inspirational movie that tugs you at the heart
30 June 2008
there are many underrated movies out there, and 'Within These Walls' is one of them. despite a previous comment about 'homophobia' and giving this film one star, this is a rather good movie to watch. a dramatic portrayal of the inside of a women's prison and the character transformations that occur through an inmate rehab program, that trains dogs to assist the handicapped.truly an inspirational movie about the power of a bond between animal and human and how it can have an impact on the human soul and spirit. it's a strong movie, based on the life of Pauline Quinn, a nun who came from an abusive past, who found hope and purpose through the love of a dog. the strength and determination of Sister Pauline Quinn and the success of the dog training program, helped turn some inmates' lives around, a great achievement.

Rainbow (1995)
2/10
1 of the crappiest/boring movie ever
4 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
crap storyline....long story short. Three kids, one of em is called Mike and he has an older brother (who steals 3 gold pieces of prism from the rainbow) and 2 other of Mikey's friends chase a rainbow and travel through the rainbow. By the older brother's greedy action to steal the gold which make part of the structure of the rainbow, it starts to affect their world. Without light, there is no colour, no photosynthesis...no oxygen. This movie is a cross between Pleasantville and War Of The Worlds, but kids' style. This movie bored me to death. Ending was so predictable. Bad stunts and bad acting. Bad concept. Overall..it sucks...it's categorised as comedy. Throughout the movie, i did not laugh. I only laughed once, was when one of Mike's friends, sucked in helium n began 2 speak in that squeaky voice.

Transporter 2 (2005)
6/10
crap but a few funny moments...needs improvement tho...
29 September 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Oh My God! I reckon Transporter 2 is way better than The Transporter. Storyline is a lil dodgy, my friends and i didn't like the climax and ending. Climax and ending was blunt. Ending was pointless. My friends and i loved the twist in the beginning. Don't wanna spoil it so i wont say what it is. The music is the same, some of the tunes are from The Transporter. The camera work needs improvement, there was too many damn close ups of the car, and it way too fast. You couldn't actually see what's going on. Sound was a little loud. It's funny that a guy can get hurt so many times, very hard in fact, yet he's only got 1 stitch n a few scratches on his face. And another little goof, Frank's car has no dents in it whatsoever. Camera angles needs to be above view as well, like from a helicopter, not close ups of the side and front and back of the car. The stunts did most of the work, stunts were better in this film. The "french friend"'s character is revealed more. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO LAI?!

an OK movie
26 September 2005
Warning: Spoilers
i didn't really like it. Storyline wasn't very clear. It moved too quickly. I liked the stunts though, they were cool, sophisticated martial art style moves. The climax and ending was blunt and ended quickly. The whole movie...well.... not very clear. Not much action either, the relationship between Frank and Lai wasn't emphasised and shown clearly, which then lost the intended reaction at the end. Maybe the sequel would be better... Camera angles were good, the speed of the camera shots helped build the tension. The Transporter wasn't as good as I expected. So, in my opinion, this movie sort of disappointed me. I probably wouldn't recommend it. Adults may like this movie. I'm 15, so I would probably not recommend it, because it bored me a bit.

my opinion of it....
14 April 2005
movies in the 80's were really cool, nice story lines, very real people and cute guys too! 80's movies were so musical, full of dance and laughter, really good acting and good use of props. I wish movies were like the old classic movies, movies nowadays are somewhat a rip off, i'm not saying all but most movies made in this era are all computerized, there's so much plastic surgery happening, drastic diets, if you look back at the old movies, the ladies are really beautiful naturally, nice hair, and the spark in those eyes, men were romantic. I watched Sixteen Candles for the first time, and i enjoyed it. I liked Pretty in Pink better though. Sixteen candles is a really funny yet in a sweet romantic sort of way....the geeks and the Duck guy, hilarious! i enjoy watching classic movies, eg. dirty dancing, ghost, gremlin, pretty in pink, ghost busters.... I wouldn't recommend this movie to kids 14+, especially if you don't like watching classic movies. But to those out there who were teens in the 80s, this might bring back your high school memories. Truly hilarious, you can predict the ending, the geeks took the spotlight for me

Dirty Dancing (I) (1987)
10/10
addicted
24 March 2005
I'm 15, usually not kids my age usually watch these old classic movies. But this is one of my favorites. I was totally addicted after watching it for the first time. It's really good if u think about technology and movies back at that time, music is great, storyline is OK,choreography is great, must see it. I don't know why there's a prequel for this movie. Not many people like this movie, but i love classic love movies, they're so much better than movies now! This movie will make you smile, cry and make you start dancing. The music is absolutely ear catching and beautiful. I haven't seen Dirty Dancing 2 Harvana Nights(prequel), prequel should have star the original actors, thats what i hate about prequels, they ruin the original. No one wants a prequel, they want a sequel. Many people will agree that for a movie- the original, sequel and the 3rd one is enough. Beyond that, people wont be bothered to watch it. Who remembers the movie about the St Benard Beethoven? I think there's 5 movies altogether.
