Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Breathtaking
The absolute gorgeous scenery is no surprise, we already had a taste of that in the first Avatar. And now with the added element of an underwater world and it's creatures, the visuals of this sequel reaches another level! I was completely mesmerized all the way through, and I fell deeper and deeper in love with the world and it's people.
As with the first Avatar, this is also a deeply emotional movie, with an incredible story that pulled me in right from the beginning, and had me follow the characters in their endeavors, which had me in (both kinds of) tears more than once.
Now I'm sitting here dumbfounded and completely emotionally drained, but most of all touched.
Like a real cliché I will say that this movie left a lasting impression on me.
The Avatar movies are so much more than just a fantasy/sci-fi series, you just have to want to see it.
Now, enough with the clichés!...
Just do yourself a favor and spend 3 hours of your life to watch this incredible piece of work!
And if the story doesn't speak to you as it did to me, then just enjoy the marvelous piece of cinematic work that has been put into this spectacular movie.
It's really worth it!

Relevant, educational and absolutely lovely
Very intense to witness a human being fighting so desperately to live.
Seeing the despair in his eyes when he faces someone who used to make him feel safe and loved, but now poses a threat to his life.
With only 15 minutes, pretty simple settings and a relatively small cast, the makers of this very relevant piece of society reflecting art, has created a movie experience out of the ordinary for a short movie.
They manage to tell an authentic story of young LGBTQ+ people and their struggles, in a world where homophobia still exists. This they do with such sincerity, respect and a depth you would think was impossible within only 15 minutes.
This is a movie that will leave you with lasting impressions, good and bad!
But even though it is a very honest movie with a lot of suffering, the ending makes it all worth it!
Watching this short film is time very well spent!
